Idc what anyone says...Why is this posted here, in WOMEN's thread ? Why is it posted at all? We heard it all before, from Little Michelle herself. We discussed it already. What's the frikkin' point ?

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but is it just me or does the song (sounding as though it's just repeating the first part over and over)...
Well, it almost sounds like it gets worse as it goes along, like the instrumentation goes from good, starts out strong with the guitars/vocals and then almost devolves, sounds more "poppy" (in a bad, Third Eye Blind, kinda way) and more empty as it goes along... I don't know. Just something about it is a little off for me. I'd love to love it. Unfortunately, I just kind of like it. Almost. :/
First impressions: Naturally, not much of anything can live up to so much hype but it does, sadly sound very average and underwhelming. And I really hate saying that. The solo isn't nearly as good as Catcher. Nor is the song itself. Just another stupid opinion, I know.
I agree, to an extent. I like it, but I don't love it. It's a bit of an odd mix, vocals kind of buried but then, it's just a demo. I think it's got the potential to turn into something great. Not as great as Catcher, though. I don't see that happening.

I have to laugh when I see people critiquing the solo. If you were told it was Slash, you'd be praising it.
This! lol

Thought it was about slash as well especially with th ast reference "had to do things your way".
That could be said about Slash, Izzy, Duff, Adler... who cares, its a cool song-all that matters lol

But you know it is named „Rough Mix” right? You think that every song they record is perfectly mixed from the start?
Of course it’s real lol. It’s more of a prototype than a song but this is not fake
Also... am I the only person who actually like the intro?
Nope, you're not the only one. I like it, too.

the only good thing about this is axl rose's voice and axl rose's vocal melodies over decent rocking verse/chorus parts
nothing else
the rest is actually embarrassing
more of the same shitty fucking mess by the very same people who wrote the un-listenable axl rose solo album
it's there for all to see one more time that these "talented hard working people" don't seem to be able to write a good song to save their lives
the intro is the ultra special shit fest
it has got to be on the top 10 of the the "worst intros ever written" right after that live intro that slash and duff wrote for better
compare this intro to the intro of jungle
what a fucking unbelievable crock of shit
every "new" recording by axl rose and slash shows that they were either very smart or very lucky to associate with an actual songwriter on the early part of their careers
Damn...what a read. Only thing we can agree on is Axl's amazing vocals on this. You talk a lot of sh*t otherwise, dude.

Great vocals, awesome range. Not sure about the 'color' of his voice (not exactly my favorite). However, if you ask me, he's got no stage presence or charisma whatsoever.

My son told me yesterday that the radio station in Springfield, Missouri has been saying a new album early next year followed by a tour. 😳
If true, that would be fantastic. 😊 I won't believe anything until I hear a new song or 2 though.

Blaming TB is just a kneejerk reaction which in this particular case doesn't really make a lot of sense. We got some unexpected treats and were hoping for a lot more, even expecting it. That's how I took it as well. So of course there's a lot of disappointment and frustration it didn't work out as we'd hoped or expected, for now at least.
But in this case, what could TB have done? Give us all of the stuff over the weekend? Seems a bit farfetched, plus no one really knows what legal ramifications leaks could have. Who else is involved? Is Universal (part) owner of the stuff? Would Axl be allowed to just hand over the stuff like that, even if he wanted? (I'm not saying he wants to do any such thing.) I doubt that.
When something doesn't work out as we had hoped, many revert to what they know best: blame TB. I am not their biggest fan, but I'm sure they aren't the ones holding off a release.
Out of reactions. Couldn't agree more!

Hard school is soooo fn awesome! 😎 Atlas isn't bad but I expected more from it, I guess.

very well said makes sense the analogy
problem is you only realize this type of revelation until after and likely too late to revert back to your ex or in this case bandmates
I was gonna say : Never ever go back to your ex! 😁 Cute analogy though.

yeah i really liked the 2001-2002 live versions of CD but the actual studio album was really underwhelming on many levels
Agreed on 2001-2002 live versions. But I do like the finished product too. Far from perfect, but regardless..

I don't know if somebody has already suggested this in this thread but what if (in dreamland) the Appetite Five played a four song encore at these upcoming shows.
What songs would you choose and why?1.Cornshucker
2.Get in the ring
3.Think about you
4.Coma
Why ? Those make me giggle and could potentially cure all sorts of diseases.

If you really think they are charging a lot now, guarantee they can charge a bit more with the classic era. Axl will make more money and that's all he needs to know to be convinced!
Now you're reaching a bit... according to you, all that matters to Axl is money. Just throw money at him, lots of money, and all will be well ? Please... If that was the case, I'm pretty sure we'd have seen reunion way earlier than we did.

Now, personally, I would consider them underrated because they are the greatest rock band. I would go as far as to proclaim them the greatest artist in rock music. I’m not of the variety to cling on the, “they could’ve been…” or “they only made a couple of records,” because what they made is great. Quality trumps quantity, always. I will gladly take AFD, Lies, and the Illusions albums over any Stones record. This idea that GnR only had so many records is always brought up meanwhile acts such as Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, Cream, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sex Pistols, Led Zeppelin, etc., never get called out on it. Yet, these artists have less work than GnR, if not, they’re in the same ballpark.
What they made is great, yes. But to say all of their work is better than any Stones record is kinda ridicilous. You either haven't listened to much of Stones music or they aren't your cup of tea.
What's also kinda wrong is you comparing Gn'R to those names (Hendrix,Nirvana,Skynyrd,Zeppelin... ), bands who'd lost their /key/ members early on(they died, you know) and have since either split, are gone, tried to or made some sort of comebacks. Gn'R was still here, whether you like all the line-up changes or not( I personally love CD ).
Imho, just a very bad band comparison right there.

I'm family. Just jokes. It's my Gn'R coping mechanism. I have no problem with housekeepers or the fact Axl calls her his mother. Go easy on me, I'm a delicate carnivorous flower.
Smh lol
How many GnR gigs have you been too...

None, unfortunately. I had a chance in 2010 and 2012, and I bloody missed it. Hopefully, they'll soon replace Slash with the g.o.a.t that is DJ Ashba, and I shall have my chance again, God willing.
