You're asking if the 2018 Appetite re-issue version is the same one from the "Live and Let Die" single? It's not even close. First off, the 2018 single goes over three minutes while the 1991 release is quite a bit shorter. Not to mention, the "Wake up! It's time to play!" vocal from Axl on the 1991 release.
And regardless of anything else, they just really don't sound remotely similar.

Just to be clear, the version of "Shadow of Your Love" released as a single from the Appetite is not just a different mix from the previous versions. This is entirely new, later, different recording.
The three versions were as follows:
"Live" version: This version was actually recorded at Pasha Studios and had audience noise overdubbed. It appeared as a b-side to the "It's So Easy" / "Mr. Brownstone" single and also on the 1988 EP.
Sound City version: This was recorded as part of the Sound City sessions, which means it was actually recorded before the the above version. It was issued on the "Live and Let Die" single, and on some versions was tagged with a "live" signification which was odd as there is nothing identifiable about the recording being live, but maybe it was all recorded at once with no overdubs making it technically true, I don't know.
2018 single / Appetite re-issue version: This was recorded with Mike Clink as apparently a kind of test to see if a collaboration between the band and him would work. This version is my favorite of the versions and honestly sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday. And maybe it was extensively tinkered with shortly before its release? If it was, I suspect we'll never know. I personally don't think anything was added instrumentally or vocally but that the remix was pretty extensive and brought out and/or pushed back things in the mix that might not have had the same choices in '86 or '87. But who knows?

First of all I don't buy for a second that Steven is over being in GNR. And secondly how were they disrespectful to him? Obviously I'm open to changing my mind, but I will point out that I don't think that the red carpet should've been rolled out for him. He's been a junkie for over 30 years (around 25 when the reunion first happened) and sad to say, I'm not sure you could find many junkies you'd be able to trust to play a prominent role in a huge rock n' roll tour with millions on the line. It just isn't feasible. If for instance Steven were THE drummer (instead of Frank) I have to wonder if the tour would even be able to be insured.

I rarely post, but to weigh in on the Izzy thing, it seems like when he was involved in "The Project" thing, he wanted it to be more organic: write some new tunes, get the arrangements down with the band and whatnot, play the songs on the road and then record an album. Unfortunately for him, I think it seems that Slash, Duff and Matt wanted something more like what Velvet Revolver ended up being. A highly commercial rock group with a big time rock n' roll singer. Enter Scott Weiland. Whatever you think of him, they got their larger than life Axl Rose replacement. And that wasn't what Izzy wanted it seems.
To me, it seems like I feel similar to AlterL above. Izzy made his money with Guns, and wants to do things his way. Seems like he enjoyed showing up and playing with Axl and Guns once in a while in the '00s. And was probably interested in the reunion. However, his insistence on following the beat of his own drummer probably cost him in negotiations with Axl, Slash and Duff. They deemed him to be "undependable" and by virtue of not being part of the three remaining guys at the end of the Use Your Illusion era, they figured that they could sell a Guns N' Roses reunion with just those three as the real deal. And to be honest, they have. I'm still stunned that Axl, Slash and Duff share a stage still. And also stunned that I held a CD in my hand last week with new work from Axl, Slash and Duff (well, maybe not new from Axl, but you know what I mean).
But having Izzy in the group on stage, and even more importantly, as a songwriter and studio musician would be invaluable. That would be the icing on the cake. No offense to Adler, but he's a goofball '80s cock rocker whose drug problems and loose lips have shown him to be incapable of being up to the job of being in Guns.

Are we positive that "Ain't Goin' Down No More" is the only outtake original outtake from the Use Your Illusion era? I mean, perhaps there are a few other previously unreleased original songs that the guys would be willing to throw out there on a reissue if/when the time comes. Or perhaps they would use any previously unknown material on a new album (which does seem to be inching close to reality with "Absurd" getting a release).

Holy moly those things look fake. Why women do that to their chest unless they had some type of health issue is beyond me. She looks ridiculous topless in that jacket due to the obviously fake boobs.
