Now that the technology is there. 
I think Axl should go record basic tracks with the inflections, and make a whole record with new slash riffs and his voice from the 90’s processed with AI.

He’d be a pioneer in this and it would sound awesome. 

I mean if you can make this at home, imagine what GnR could do on their budget. 

Now that the technology is there, maybe Axl could lay down vocals and IA them to sound like 1993 :P

At least according to some of the Axl interviews, there was a lot of material recorded. 
Izzy did some stuff with duff in 95 as well. 
To me those ideas up to/from 96 are the holy grail. 

I think they'll just keep going the same road they (and the Stones, and Aerosmith, to name a few) have. Anniversary album releases, some old live shows, maybe an unreleased outtake?

If I had my way, I’d love to listen to the 95-97 demos.

He did have some moments (2006, 2010), but his voice was never the same from 99 onwards.

It's been more than 20 years since Axl’s been able to sing as he once did. He began to struggle vocal wise in 99-00.

Nowadays it is plainly a pain to listen to.

(Don’t get me wrong, this is not personal. I like Axl, I think he’s a good guy🤷🏻‍♂️)

It will always be beautiful to go back and listen to appetite, lies, the illusions, live era and even a few CD songs.
I wouldn’t expect anything more from the band. The last two -recycled- single attempts were half assed IMHO.
I agree, this is the end of the line for GNR in regards to new music or anything bench marking.
 

I’m really looking forward for unreleased studio and live stuff tho.
