Agreed. GnR could write stairway to heaven or hey jude and the vast majority of people would never hear it nor give a fuck. This is the era where the band writes purely for themselves and their true fans. No one wil be playing the stones latest single in 2 months time and they have been promoting the hell out of it in a way that GnR never could. 

Truth!!! If they were in their forties maybe people would pay attention. Although, look at the attention Kate Bush received a huge popularity boost from the stranger things fans and Tik tok. Not that they care, or that we as true fans even care, but if they wanted to be “popular” they’d have a big producer come in, write/record an album and just feature it in big movies/shows.  

How come the leaks haven’t been picked up by any news sites??

I had a hard time believing the intro of the general is a final version. And that he’d distort his vocals beyond belief in 2023, I can see that working when he recorded the vocals in the 2000’s but obviously he has to know it sounds dated… I think if he removed those vocal distortions and cleaned up the intro we might get somewhere.
