I'm glad the "Project Americas" rumor looks to be true (if they stuck with it). Each GTA needs to add new things, and it looks like there's going to be drug smuggling over the border, and going through the GTA version of the Bermuda Triangle (they better go all out with that with the usual GTA style of humor.)

This is looking very promising, hope its actually GTA 6 and not a GTA Online integrated reboot. Looking forward.

I'd prefer they work on stuff for the modern times. The eventual 25th anniversary Super Deluxe Version of Chinese is going to be interesting. I was suprised that the Illusion re-release had bugger all outtakes new tracks or b-sides on it.....

Well this is why I mentioned at one point, that they should go ahead and do a Use Your Illusion thing again, and release two albums on the same day again: Not In This Lifetime I + Not In This Lifetime II, that would give enough room for both Slash and Axl's visions to mix together...... but oh boy.... if they decide to call the last track "My World, Part 2"...... or even worse if Axl got all environmental and political and did a track at the end called "Our World".... lol.......

..... uuurgh, just as long as they don't go all Dream Theater, and call the new album/s "Guns'n'Roses: My World Part 2: Scenes From A Rose", and at one point they cover "Kiss From a Rose" by Seal, and its partly produced by Trent Reznor and Moby, with random rap verses by I don't know, Eminem now?.... ok, I'm sure Axl's mind is abit beyond '96 at this point

I would of imagined that one of the original plans was to outdo Use Your Illusion: 

Chinese Democracy I + Chinese Democracy II + Chinese Democracy III

Obviously that didn't happen, I get the feeling Axl still wants to up it up, and Slash just wants to do one straightforward album, 14 tracks total.

…And I’m REALLY excited about it. There are 14 tracks, and all but one is instrumental. This, by definition, places it closer to Endtroducing and The Private Press in terms of personality and feel, but this is no throwback. The songs represent my continued evolution as a producer and songwriter, and I can honestly say that I couldn’t have made these tracks even a few years ago. Objectively, I hear maturity and growth. The arrangements are sophisticated but efficient, the programming more deliberate. As the title would imply, there’s a wide variety of moods and a premium on melody and texture, with the intention of maximum emotional impact.

Why no big-name collabs? I guess after my last two albums, which had a TON of guests, I needed to get personal and make music for myself again. I didn’t want to compromise or write music to give someone else a runway, I wanted to force myself to permeate every available sonic space and “own” the total composition. Time after time, I found myself writing songs that felt vocal-resistant somehow, so rather than fighting something organic, I embraced the challenge…and “Action Adventure” is the result. I can’t wait for you to hear it!

The album will be out in late October or early November, but the first single will be out THIS MONTH. Expect quite a bit of activity from me over the coming weeks, including more live dates (FINALLY). Meanwhile, I’ll continue to try to use this forum to alert you to important developments first."

Wasn't the Use Your Illusion albums filled with Appetite leftovers or songs written during that era along with newly written songs ? I'd like them to do that again, mix the re-made CD leftovers with new songs and release two albums  on the same day again: Not In This Lifetime I and Not In This Lifetime II 

Cool beans. Hope we get more songs sooner instead of waiting on them in August and September every year (If they do release another one).

Wonder if these 4 are going to be on the new album, i'd rather they do something completely new.

No no, from the beginning of the Not in This Lifetime tour til now, it started April 2016, yep that's how long this reunion nightrain has been going 

"Not in This Lifetime" would be a cool name for the new album btw.

I do wonder, if the new album will be all reworked tunes from the Chinese era, with Slash and Duff in there, or half that and half super brand new, or all brand new stuff? They could release two different sets of songs. It's hard to tell atm.

Anybody 'reckon or know if the band is using this time of lockdown to work more on the album? Or is the band chillin'?
