We know some of the caliber of songs they have in the vault. This feels as if they released My World as the first single from UYIs. I just don’t understand why.
Like My World, the song grew on me and I have grown to appreciate it. But, objectively, it’s simply not their best work and, in context, can only be album filler.

And the award for bump of the year goes to...
(In fairness, the year is only two days old, but yknow...)!
Haha I’ll take it! 🏆

By Bill Bryson?
No, but this first-time author’s account is making me consider Bryson’s book. I’m normally reading more serious non-fiction. But over the break I wanted a mental break and this adventure memoir category really hit the spot.

Im reading a memoir about a guys thru hike on the Appalachian Trail. Decent read if you’re into light, adventure memoirs. The Unlikely Thru-Hiker it’s called.

Twistin' My Melon - Shaun Ryder autobiography
Songs My Mother Taught Me - Marlon Brando autobiography (re-read)
He was a good friend of Iggy Pops, in a recent interview they did I recall them talking about how they didn't want to grow old, I think it was Iggy more leading the conversation, more specifically they were saying like...they didn't want to die of old age.
Selfishly, that’s not a good enough excuse for me.

I just devoured Anthony Bourdain’s Kitchen Confidential in just 3 days. Fuck, it sucks he’s gone.

Just spent a week in Panama. Been there 3 times. Was in Belize in the summer. Maybe Cuba this summer.

When I was a teenager I used to drink Budweiser. Now I’ve grown up and I drink Coors Light. Its a macrobrew. You may have never heard of it.

It's so crazy how your whole face doesn't move except for your lips. And then every now and then your eyes. And your nostrils. It's like you're a robot trying to act like a person.

Somehow it's not a disease in the sense that there's anything wrong in the singular, but as a collective it's a cancer.
Watching cable news and knowing the Pavlovian impact it's having on it's viewers is just so sad. And not sad as in some sort elitism, but sad in that it's watching your society rip itself apart in slow motion.

I still think it's so weird that this thread is both here and as popular as it is.

Do you guys even still lift?
I'm still getting at it. Not like I used to, that's for sure. But still in the gym 4-5 times a week. More about maintainence anymore than throwing stacks. Don't have the time, patience, or desire for that shit any more.

Going to Belize in August. Any recommendations? Splitting time between San Ignacio and one of the cages. Haven't decided which yet.

Cooked Shakshuka for the first time last night. This is the recipe I used http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/shakshouka_74716
I first tried the dish last year at a restaurant and wasn't too impressed, but I love this version, definitely adding it in my regular cooking rota. All the ingredients are cheap, veggie and likely to already be in your cupboards.
Shakshuka is one of my favorite go-tos. Tend to make it at least once a month when I'm looking for something simple but hearty.
