Haha, not Oasis.
Irish guitar legend. Died in 1995, my Dad loves him. His live album is immense.
-
The man is a God.
He refused to join the stones once and Edge from U2 says he was the best guitarist he had ever seen. In a tribute show for him slash introduces it and says he was one of his heros and 'very fucking cool'.
Get 'souped up ford' and 'Wayward Child'.
You will not regret it.

The Verve- The Drugs Dont Work
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Motley Crue - Shout At The Devil
Skid Row - I'll Remember You
Oasis - Live Forever
Hard Fi - Living For The Weekend
Motley Crue - Wildside
Just the ones that I have played in the last hour, saves me from thinking.

I reckon Tyson would have beat him in the late 80's/early 90's as thats when Tyson was an animal and totally fearless.
Ali would have out boxed him but dont know about knocking him out.
He is a big unit though.

Now I know fuck all about drumming, but Ive just been listerning to Motley Crue- Wildside and thought the drumming was class. Watched the video, with the spinning drum riser and shit and found myself air drumming. Well trying. Its only a few songs that do this to me.
Anyone else have any songs that make them do this?
-
I believe Plant to be a better front man than Axl too. The open shirted and tight blue jeaned rock god.
-
Between Shout At The Devil and Girls, Girls, Girls for me. Girls tour would have been the best to see I believe as they were at their decadent peak. Just for the pure sex, drugs and rock and roll.
No votes for TOP?
On another note Too Young To Fall In Love is very underated.
-
Got to be Wildside. Now thats a fucking song rock1
'Forward my mail to me in hell'
Out of the list I choose Shout at the Devil- Utter classic.
-
Southern Sun DJ Tiesto Remix
4 Strings- Take Me Away
DJ Tiesto- Adagio for strings
BBE- Seven Days a week
Push- Strange World
Ayla-Ayla
Kirsty Hawkshaw- Fine Day
Just some of the top of my head, not that i like trance
In particular I'm a female vocal trance fan.
Lets have a trance day on a rock forum! rock1
Or not.

I concur with the above statement.
Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee?
-
Motley Crue- Your All I Need, is underated I believe.
The 80's defined power ballads. Big, bold, often dumb but fucking quality.
-
Wasnt November Rain from the 90's? Oh well its still a classic.
Bon Jovi- Never Say Goodbye
-
Lets not then lol.
-
Turn the volume up and sing your heart out whilst air guitaring to the solo that takes it soaring.
Here is a few
Cinderella- Dont Know What You've got
Dokken- Alone Again
Scorpions- Wind of change
Bon Jovi - I'll Be There For You
Motley Crue - Home sweet Home
Heart - Alone
Tesla- Love Song
Anymore?
-
Zepplin and the Stones created the decadence and the 80's bands tried to best. Had a fucking good go at at aswell.
Nikki Sixx is the king of sleaze though, hands down.
-
Stones had alot of trouble in the 60's I must say.
Although the 80's in my opinion was the piinacle of the 'Sex Drugs and Rock and Roll' attitude.
What I would have gave to be in the Crue/GNR backstage areas in 87'.

We've read all the books (The Dirt, Hammer of the Gods) and seen the behind the musics. What do people think are the most decadent? I mean like in true rock star fashion. Bands like Poison and such like bang chicks and wrecked hotel rooms because they thought that is what they had to do but the aforementioned bands did it becuase they wanted to.
Which do you think was the worst?
Personally I think the Crue after reading the dirt, pure hedonism. But I'm sure all have stories to tell! rock1

Im a huge trance fan. I have been to the finest nightclubs in the world in Ibiza and the ambience and atmosphere is unreal. I am also a huge rock fan and somtimes i listern to rock when gettin ready to go to a trance night at a club.
What some people on here are doing is contrasting the cultures. Do all rock fans have long hair? Do all trance fans jump around like lunatics with glowsticks?
Both have there respected qualities. Its not easy to become a rock superstar nor is it easy to become a superstar DJ. Althought if i was a talented DJ on the world stage i could get £20,000 for 4 hours work. Nice if you can get it!
Just as a band like GNR can grip a crowd and work it into a frenzy so can a DJ.
Note: My favourite type of trance is female vocal trance. Try these!
DJ Tiesto- Urban train vocal mix
Kirsty Hawkshaw- Fine day
Ocean Lab- Skyfalls down (Armind Van Buren mix)
If you dont like it, fuck it and rock out. rock1

I like rock but also love trance. I will go to a trnace club one night then a rock concert the next, I have a diverse taste.
You get diffrent feelings from rock and trance. A good trance track will make you feel euphoric with all the 'hands in the air' stuff and is an bulid up of energy and then a release which in a big crowd with all the strobe lights and lasers is somkething to behold.
Then the next night i will go jump about to WTTJ. rock1

I seen them last month. Even if you dont like them its still rocks. Explosions, fire, dwarfs, tits, booze, swearing and headbanging. I was at the front on the barrier and kept getting water spat on me by Sixx.
Song are good too.
-
Hair Metal all the way.
Lets sing about girls and booze and then lets shove booze bottles up girls
Although Thrash can get you going aswell.
-
Nothing better than being drunk and singin some hair ballads.
I sing Heart 'Alone' in the shower. rock1

Got to have a bit of the Crue, seen them on the Red, White and Crue tour and that was a fucking spectacle. They are not going to do soemthing like 'Estranged' but as long as you can leave your brain at home and get ready to sing along and pump your fist you are sorted.
Also respect to them for the decadence and excess.

My father just introduced me to this man. Christ, this bloke can play guitar.
Anyone else listern to him? He is regularly included in Top Ten Greatest Guitarist polls and to be fair, I think he is miles better than Clapton.
He was at his peak in the 70's and is now sadly passed away. If you type 'Slash Tribute' on Youtube you will find a clip of Slash talking about him and his influence on him. He also turned down the chance to join the Stones and U2's Edge said he was the best gutiar player he had seen.
Go and download 'Shadowplay' and 'Wayward Child' by him to see what he is like.
Doesnt seem to be much on boards on the net about him
