If there is no CD and not even a statement what ACTUALLY happened by january 1st, I completely agree.
I will nontheless listen to CD when it comes out. But I won't be spending time waiting for it any longer. Some day I will walk into my record store and just find it there. So Merck would be right again then...

Yes, I remember ... but with all those rumours concerning the record-stores I was thinking this an interesting piece to the puzzle.
And: Amazon will be more careful, too - after that pre-order-thing back a year (and a half? Don't remember the time-span).

I did my occasional search for CD on amazon.de after reading the latest record-store-news - and, surprise, after months I got a listing for "popular music" again (last friday there was none, I am sure).

Also: Metallica didn't write the orchestestral adaptions for their songs, it was Michael Kamen.
And: The string arrangements - for example on November Rain - are fitting, but so logical that I would not dare at all to call them masterpieces.

Amazing how in September we all thought that CHinese D would be out today...well, fast forward to today and this GNR fan walked into FYE at 8:30am fingers crossed that Axl would deliver and all of my provocations were unnecessary...but what did I see? I saw 20 people with red albums in there hands waiting on line, turns out it was Jay-Z's new album...I asked the manager if Guns N Roses' new album was coming out anytime soon and he said he had nothing on that album, and even laughed at me saying, "Is Guns N Roses even still together?"
How the fuck can the GNR camp expect to operate like this? I mean shit, all of us, all of us fucking fans were fucking brand ambassadors telling everyone we knew that 2006 was the year, we even told people sometime in November, probably the 28th...now we all look like fucking losers! How come Jay-Z fans have known for months that their man would deliver the goods on November 21, but Axl and GNR fans are completely in the black...it's fucking bullshit. And it's not even like we know the FUCKING YEAR it will come out! Fuck month, fuck day, we don't even know FUCKING WHAT YEAR it's dropping!
Pissed off I decided to just buy the Jay-Z album and support an artist that actually knows how to promote and deliver music to his fans. It's not a bad album, no GNR, but shit, Axl gives us no other option but to loathe him. Every Tuesday between now and 2006 I would like us all to raise a middle finger to Axl, that's right, FUCK YOU AXL, 2006 is the year? Sure, whatever you say, liar.
I don't think "brand ambassador" would be the exact term I would state as fitting in your case ...

well, star wars got released the same day, too - though cinematic starting days are not the same on each side of the atlantic, too.
and: if it's going to be that secret release, they won't bother the effort to get the release done the same day. It's possible, as someone mentioned fedex (or dhl world net or ups or whatever) before.
I will. But mostly because it's en route anyways.

Watching Rockwiz tonight and they ask Angry about what it was like touring with GnRs and what Axl was like..called him a fucking tool LOL
I wonder whether it was due to the fact Axl separtes himself from the band so much, and Rose Tatoo was a solid unit.

Though I do like Rose Tattoo a lot I don't think that a person who has suffocated himself to death maybe 300 times is very reliable.

You should not be able to get a better spot simply because you are bigger, stronger and/or more willing to be rude and obnoxious about it.

Also, GA works pretty well at most concerts I attend. No rudeness at all ... even the mosh stops if someone goes down.

Good press could bring 'em the image of a "pussie-band".
Bad press keeps up to the old image and lets people talk about them ... bad press raises the most possible common interest in a CD-release, I suppose.

Yeah, and at teh beginning of the year... Slash was really supportive of Axl all of the sudden and acted like he had the insider knowledge on Chinese Democracy. I can just see the two of them sitting out in lawn chairs at 5am in Axl's driveway listening to demo cds. Slash just sits there and nods his head saying- "I want to be a part of this.... I like your ideas Axl... I'm sorry... let's be friends. Scott is a fraud, but your the real deal... Matt sorum is an ass.... I hate him"....

Started with TWAT, she replied:

Went on with IRS:
"wow, that's it! i love that song."
and with Better she was pretty speechless, I suppose. She loved it, as she told me later on.
She is not and was not that much of a GnR-Fan, so I sent them to a friend who was (quote: "I was deeply in love with Axl when I was at school. My best friend was in love with Slash, so that fit pretty well. The only problem: once we saw an Interview on MTV and you could see Slashs face ... she then changed to loving Axl, which became complicated for our premature relationship"). Though, she has not answered yet. But as this usually takes some time I'm still waiting for it and shall keep you updated, wether you want or not
