  1. Fully realizing now that “The General” is SO much better live… the Hollywood Bowl debut of it was EPIC, I think the song works best when the brilliantly done orchestration is prominent (unfortunately it seems “buried” to me in the studio version) and you can actually see the band all in and engaged (ESPECIALLY Slash.)

I wouldn’t mind the live version from that gig dropping officially, kind of like how “ABSURD” live was the B-side for the “Hard Skool” 7-inch.

  2. This is actually f’n amazing… can’t wait for more details. Can’t believe this will be the first GNR recording with NEW Axl vocals

Duff, Slash, Axl, Ringo, Elton AND Children of the Revolution? Oh my God

Want to really break the headlines? Get Ringo on drums for a new GNR album… :headbang::lol:

The cell phone clip sounds much more like the other CD songs. Bucket and or Robin guitars. Hip hop industrial influences. The Slash version still has a lot of the CD sound but is much warmer and bluesier. At least that’s from what I can tell from the cell phone clip vs the full leak. Would love to have both for comparison

Never heard the cell phone clip, probably never will at this juncture…

But the current (90% positively final) leak of “Monsters” is the perfect love child of OG Guns and NuGuns… you know it’s a much more “matured” concept lyrically from Axl, but the guitar playing and, generally speaking, song structure screams Slash n’ Duff. It’s truly a banger.

Dude... this must be your first year. I've been reading this exact sentence since like 2006.

Now, I'm generally not one of the negative ones, I do believe shit is coming... at some point, but do we ever learn or what.

Not expecting anything in the slightest, no sir… you have to follow the trial of breadcrumbs, and none have been dropped… yet.

But, again, doesn’t negate the fact that there is no tangible reason why, at the very least, a single can’t drop without an accompanying tour. We all can wish/hope/you name it the band sees it like that too one day.

”Monsters”, for example, makes total sense… THEY know WE know about it (heck, many HAVE it lol) so we don’t need much fanfare with it. Drop it and get a headline or two out of Rolling Stone, etc. :P

So, how long before we get the April Fools' album jokes? I know they started early at the end of last year with that whole Atlas Shrugged album and ridiculous artwork, but they should be ramping up again by now.

You mean THE “Atlas Shrugged,” found buried deep in the code of the GNR Store database?!?!?!? :wow:

All jokes aside, Stones released a whole new album in October of last year, and aren’t touring it till this Summer. There really isn’t a viable excuse imo for Guns not to drop something… ANYTHING soon without all that jazz, even if it’s just “Monsters.” :shrugs:

Looking forward to seeing videos of Don't Damn Me :wow:

That soundcheck from the GNR 2022 tour where Slash plays a bit of it, and Duff asks what it was will always make me chuckle.

Glad to hear the song is finally getting some proper attention.
