Hey, were you the #1 and #2 guys in the line at Albany? ... I was girl #3 in line...
I'm so psyched for the Garden tomorrow... no front row though...
-
It's definetely Albany,NY. I was there floor-center- front row. The best show I've seen with the new line up. I bought it too even if it's not pro-shot I need to have something from that show...
The audio was excellent, Axl's voice sounded clear and powerful in every song... it will be a classic show...
-
It kicked ass indeed!!! I didn't expect it to be that good, I just went because of the general admission floor... I'm so glad I did... I don't know how he's going to top this at the Garden... but I know he will and I'll be there!!
-
I want to believe it will happen... but I have a hard time convincing myself.
One thing I do believe: we'll have a year's end celebration in Las Vegas with GnR every year. It will become like a GnR fans annual convention.

I can't believe we're still wishing the man a Happy Birthday. We must love the guy.
Are you listening, Axl?
-
A good mix, actually. I met people on their 30's, 20's, and teens.
I was surprised to see so many young people (teens). I've been to other concerts of 80's artists and the crowd is mostly 30-something.
But I guess that's a good thing, they're carying the torch for future generations.

Don't blame axlrosegnr. I know the feeling. There's nothing like seeing GnR live. For me it will be Las Vegas New Year's Eve.
I saw Axl on Dec. 31st!! (front row!!)
-
I have two, and only wear them on special occasions. One is the Live Era '87-'93 with the round logo in the back, and the other one has the new logo and a pair of dice from the New Year's Eve show in Las Vegas.
I also have GnR patches on jeans and jackets.

Ghost Face, I would take my CD player with me to the store to start listening right away!! ;D
-
I like PERFECT CRIME and GARDEN OF EDEN, they rock!!
-
Motley Crue or any other band from the 80's
-
AXL - needless to say
Slash - he's the man
Buckethead - amazing to have them both onstage
Izzy - lyrics
Duff - looks good onstage
Matt - no contest
Dizzy -original keyboards
and that other keyboard guy (chris) to help out

Hey let's go ahead and vote. We got nothing to lose!

Happy Big 40, Axl!!
You just keep getting better!!
Have a great one!!
I love you!!

just don't let it die down while we wait....
Chinese Democracy starts at 40!

I think he's waiting to get in really good shape so he can appear on music videos again. Or maybe he'll do like Elton John did: find someone better looking to star in the video ;D

Ok, this is sad but I'll help you out and reply to your posting.
It was in the late 80's, I was in High School in New York. I heard Sweet Child of Mine and completely blew me away. Then when I saw them on TV, I knew I'll be a fan forever. I remember being at the record store faced with the dilemma of getting Appetite in vinyl or cassette. I chose the cassette. (yeah, I'm that old ;D)

I'm sending more than one postcard. I'm also telling my friends.
And regarding the New vs. Old War...
just think that the NEW GnR is better than NO GnR!!!
-
I'm a woman so I'll denitely go with Axl. There's no other musician out there that I like remotely as much.
But if you give me the choice of Brad Pitt...
nah, I'd still go with Axl.
My question: can I have an advance copy of Chinese Democracy?

Small Venue.
It's great to be upclose and see the guys sweating, the guitars jamming...

Albany 2002
in PAST CONCERTS
Posted
[i was in the middle of the floor, but that didn't even come close to the Albany show...that was special. Possibly going to Philly Fri. night...
Yeah, Albany was special, he sounded better than when I saw him in Las Vegas last year... Albany is bound to be a classic show, and a few people got the show on tape...
I'm going to Philly on Friday, and maybe to the Sunday show...
I'm sure Axl will top himself at the Garden... can't wait!
