  1. PartyBoy, I can't thank you enough. That video was awesome and I appreciate the fact that you put up a video for me. You rock man. Keep up with your awesome playing, I know I'm trying to. Happy holidays :xmasssanta:

P.S. How long did it take for you to learn that technique. Your insanely fast doing it and it's kinda hard for me to grasp it and get it right.

  2. Hey guys. I was just wondering if any of you could explain to me the quick bending technique Slash uses and how to do it. Slash does this technique after Patience at Paris '92 and other places. My guitar teacher can do it just as well and he taught me it in like 2 minutes but I couldn't get the hang of it and I forgot. Here's a clip of Slash doing it on the Drew Carey Show. The image is a little blurry but I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about.

    Thanks dudes

  3. Which concert do you guys prefer, Boston or MSG. I love Boston in every way imaginable but what about MSG. I've seen a clip of SCOM solo by Finck and November Rain in MSG and they were awesome. Which of the two concerts do any of you prefer?

  4. you might have to dumb it down, cause i'm pretty dense. anyway, my 4 track broke recently and i was wandering what i should get to replace it.

i'm pretty set on a korg 16 track, but was wondering if some computer stuff would be cheaper, and how does that work anyway? do i plug my amp into an adapter into a usb port or... any recommendations?

i'm obviously looking for the best quality for price ratio, and am willing to spend about 800.

Get a Digidesign Mbox Factory Bundle.

    MBox

It comes with Protools, which is the industry standard in digital recording. I got one, and it is possibly the greatest thing I have ever purchased.

Santana, is this easy to use? It looks like an amazing product and I also want a program where I can put my recordings on my computer.

  5. Yngwie started the shredding era and if it wasn't for him there there would be no Vai, Satriani, Buckethead, Batio, etc. in terms of shredders. Most of Yngwie stuff sounds very dull to me and boring as hell. It's all the same to me, but he is absolutely amazing. Vai is faster than Malmsteen and I don't know much of Satriani but from what I've heard he is very cool with his stuff. I do know that Satriani is technically just as good as the other two. And speaking of Batio, he's technically the best, but he gives me a headache.

So this is not the real way to play the intro WITH delay

    E|-----------------------------|-----------------------------|

    B|-----------------------------|-----------------------------|

    G|---4-------4---------4-4-4---|--4--4-2--2-----------------:|

    D|-----------------------------|------------4--4-2--2--0----:|

    A|-----------------------------|--------------------------2--|

    E|-----------------------------|-----------------------------|

    \--------only once----------/ \----repeat this 2 times----/

    its this with delay

    |------------------------------------------------

    |----0-------0--------0--------0--------0----0-

    |-4----4--2----2--------------------------------

    |-------------------4----4---2----2--0----------

    |-------------------------------------------2-----

    |-------------------------------------------------

I've always just played the top first tab with delay, but that's not the real way to play the intro?

Sorry if I confused you, the intro I posted is how to play the delayed notes without a delay pedal, which is what Slash did in concert.

Thanks a lot man. That's a kickass way to play it without delay.

  8. Dude, i found this version from Rock In Rio III 2001 - problem is its only the intro -

KOHD - Rock In Rio III Intro

Try looking on either - PowerTabs - or - MySongbook

You will need the programs for the above ones to work.

    Here's the Powertab download link - Power-Tab

and here's the Guitar Pro download link - Guitar Pro

    Hope this helps! :D

Thanks man, I've seen that 2001 tab many times. I tried to play and it sounds horrible, maybe me or its just a bad tab. That's the only 2001 KOHD tab though on the net. There has to be a tab that is better that looks something like the way Finck played the intro in Boston. Perfect_crime49, if the tab you have is better or different please post it.

  9. Does anyone have a Robin Finck KOHD tab or maybe just the intro? Something like the Boston 2002 or RIR3 intro? If you watch Finck play the intro on the Boston 2002 bootleg he plays it with bar chords and then arppegiates what looks like to be a G Major chord. Please, any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

  10. Are there any websites that give the chords to a song BUT also show how to play those chords to match how the song sounds. Example: AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long; I'm trying to play the chord parts of the song right after the intro and I can't get it to sound right. So is there a website that can show me how to play those chords to get the song right? Maybe a website that tells me how many times to play the chord and when to switch to the other, and if to play the chord up or down?

    Any help much appreciated :)
