I would say that there has not been another band paying tribute to its roots in the way Guns dis with that album........Also sound great to me, a shame they did not promote it.

Bogotá - Colombia nov 29/1992. Best night of my life, I was 16, had to go by myself. Concert was short (11 song) due to rain. Can't complain, it rained during noviember rain!!!

Already is!!! Just go to the market and try find an album with so many good songs today........there is none and still all albums but CD get more, way more, credit than CD. As for me, will listen to it in 20 years, as I do with Appetite!!!

That Paradise City wasn't so bad to my ears. I don't expect Axl to be able to do it with the voice he had 20 years ago, and also the tour must have taking it's toll on his voice. His glory days could be over, but he sounds good enough. Maybe you guys are too harsh on him.
I just listened to PC and agreed, there's nothing wrong with it, sounded fine. I'm starting to think certain people here just have nothing better to do than bitch about nothing. Unless you're expecting studio quality... I saw Weezer last night, okay show, they were charging 90$ for tickets (I didn't pay), not every song sounded perfect, fun show though... and GN'R is far more entertaining and I don't think the quality is any different.

Thats the point: some people here live their lives just to trash this band or his lead singer. Guess they do not have anything else to do. As for me I only judge a band when am able to be in a concert and have seen them 3 times and they sounded great.....thats enough for me.

All I can say is that Axl is not normal, does not behave like normal people do, and even he does not behave like many other artist (and rich people), but he is fucking great the way he is and I (we) love him for that!!!
Also, I guess this kind of discussion would have not taken place if he was with the original members or even 22 years ago when he did cancel many shows and behaved in a much more dysfunctional way.

Great show imo, nothing to complain about it, Band is on top and Axl is doing well, ok for the moment. It is obvious there may be better concerts but the band choose that one and is ok for me, will definitely buy the dvd, and surely many around will do so as the precedent (Tokio Dome) wasn´t any good!

Funny thing, Two weeks ago Ron Anderson (one of the best voice trainer in the world) came to Colombia for a conference. He was interviewed by a radio station in Bogotá and when asked who was HIS BEST STUDENT and the artist more dedicated he answered AXL ROSE. The general story i about the GnR concert in 1992 and the problems the band has to face as a consecuence of some idiots telling the argentinean people Axl Rose had burned an argentinean flag in Paris. It also tells the story of a girl that killed herself for not been allowed to go to the concert. Sadly her father killed himself time after.

As I see Guns fans are selfish, do not care about what Axl may think or feel. It is clear for me that the guy had good reasons not to be there, even Matt Sorum talked about that so why would you someone ask to do something he does not want to do? WE ALL LOVE AXL FOR BEING JUST LIKE THAT, FOR NOT DOING WHAT EVERYBODY WANTS HIM TO DO SO..........
Ask yourself what I would do

To live with fortune and shame oh yeah
When you should have turned to the hearts of the ones
That you would not save oh now
Other thing, The performance of the old member there did prove WHY AXL ROSE IS GUNS AND ROSES! Good music (sure it was) but no energy, it seems to me that they knew they shouldnt be doing that without AXL.

You guys seen not to understand that most people are not checking whtas going on in GNR all the time like we do. The band is playing for a general audience, the audience that needs to know the new band, memebers and music, they do not play for the people on this forum only.So do not expect anything it would satisfy only you!

Time will be kind to Chinese Democracy imo, anyone who can't appreciate it I wouldn't lose sleep over, it's their loss because it's a fucking journey.
The album is a masterpiece and people will come to know it someday.
hmm interesting, i always though of Chinese Democracy as being in the same category as Velvet Underground And Nico. Very inspirational and underrated at first. Maybe years later Chinese Democracy will demand respect like VU.
I think people has come to know it already.............from day one!

Well I have to say that I was a bit dissapointed by the Rio performance, Off course not to hate the band. If fact the whole thing makes me love it more!
As for the concert I think they planned it different......the planned big, very big, they played Estranged and reherased Oh my God......the set list in fact was great, even more if you get it in a Festival. Unfortunately the rain killed it. Have u ever wondered how many bands play in the rain? I am sorry but I never seen another one, only Guns and Roses. Of course playing in the rain, the first concert in more than a year is not easy, but they did played. I wonder if Mike jagger would`d played in the rain? or Bono? Do not think so! But AXL did play and for two in a half hours. His voice wasn´t great, of course! he did sing in the rain for god´s sake.
Just beleive the band is great, Axl is and will always be the best performer and entertainer.

Hey guys...............Do not understand you, I had 5 songs from CD and am very, very happy with that..................As for me this tour isn´t about promoting CD, but about promoting the new band and of course I is working........Here in Colombia nobody knew any of the member other than Dizzy and after the concert everybody is talking about the all band members. Everyone, I think, had the best imprerssion of the other members, with most of the people not even mentioning Slash. I am sure Axl is promoting the band and letting know everyone this guys can kick ass.....
Of course, if you want more CD songs being played, fine. Maybe you get them, maybe not, but for sure you will never fucking satisfied...........,It is like having sex, you will always want more and more, and of course, you sometimes get it and sometimes not.
Finally, the album went Gold in Colombia. Axl received the news just before the concert................and for sure will do much better in the following days, we already have DJ saying this was the best concert ever in Colombia and talking very good on the band.......this after a week of people just talking clap about Axl and Co.

By the way.........I was in the concert, for sure the best I have ever been, better that 1992 in Bogotá and 2002 in London......This band has proved to me that they really enbody the Guns spirit. Everybody in Colombia was unsure about the concert but today everybody is sure that was the best we ever had in Colombia, even better than Metallica a month ago................many blamming themselves for not going..........
bloddy hell Axl was smilling all the time, he even put up with rain (they played SCOM, November Rain and KOHD in the rain), fell on his back and got up smilling, that was amazing.
Played very well every song, this is a real band.....I was just listening to the radio and the most important and well know DJ is just stunned by the band he was just saying that Axl business is music and that he has proved everybody falling him wrong............great solos...oh God real music, Axl voice in good shape. Also the show was superb, ligths and the pry thing amazing.
It was a 2 hours and 40 mins show, started at 11.40 and finished 2.20am......and around 20.000 people attended...which is great taking into consideration that there was no real promo, and that Metallica did, with 5 months promo around 40.000 and also having into consideration that in Colombia is Holy week and most people is on holidays.
Very Happy as you see, the best concert I ever been......Long live to KIng Axl and his court.

Yes there are, but there was not internet on the venue…… great fucking show (night 1). Could see a happy Axl running and smiling all the way. Hi gives it all, even though his voice goes in some songs (coma and better). Slash is a monster that makes a show on his own……nothing to complain, it was my 6 GNR show and I top it the 2 best……….still regretting not been able to get tickets for the second show.
