Don't think Billy Joe really defended Axl. It sounds like his message was that fans should respect him for what he's done and how talented he is, but at the same time it's time to move on and leave all that shit in the past where it belongs.

I'm glad Axl finally said there wouldn't ever be a GNR reunion. If there are any fans who are holding on to that, it's time to move on. Axl has moved on and so have the other members, so tell me why is it always Axl who gets the shit?

Honestly, the only thing we fans need to want is more music and more touring. Axl and the others have their private lives that we have no say in whatsoever. Nor should it affect our lives. No one can tell anyone what they should or shouldn't do. We don't know all that has happened in the original GNR days nor do we know what's happened in the past 20 years. Just bits and pieces which mostly came from Slash. There is always 2 sides to every story and no one person shares the blame.

I think we need to keep out of Axl's private life and be thankful he is still alive and well to tour and hopefully make more music.

Axl is not nor will he be a member of anyone's family, so let him be. It just seems like some people just love when they feel Axl screws up, so they can pounce and critiize him.

Take care of your own lives and stop trying to make Axl your puppet to do and say what you want. We all have free will and we're all human and make mistakes. Does anything Axl does affect your life personally? I don't think so. Does Axl come to your house and critize your personal life? lol NO! So why do some of you think you have the right to bash Axl and bash some of us fans who defend him.

i don't care about any of that but I think billie joe gave a great induction speech. i'm impressed. my only complaint about the current lineup is that I wish brain was still playing drums. i know some people on this forum will defend frank aggresively but he isn't that great or dynamic of a drummer, at least for gnr standards. and yes, i've seen him live. it reminds me of when Matt replaced Steven for the illusion albums. you could just tell something was missing...

after listening to those 2 live versions from 2001 it just reminds me how much I miss Brain's drumming for gnr. I wish he'd come back someday...never got to see him live but have never been all that excited about frank even when I did see guns dec. 2006..

Well this simple. Frank owns the shit out of brain. I saw them in May (Brain) and in November (Ferrer). The drumming was more exciting to me with Ferrer. I thought Frank played better too. Im a guitarist but I know when a drummer is good and Brain was boring to me, in Guns. Plus i dont like him because of his "only for the money" comments. Frank is just an awesome cat. Hes the drummer for Guns N' Roses.

Bullshit. Those "only in it for the money comments" were fucking jokes in the first place and it's been people like you that have completely blown them out of proportion ever since (even Fortus called bullshit on them!). On top of that, I've seen both drummers live and Frank is not better than Brain. Frank sounds closer to Sorum if anything. Also, listen to the slight changes he's made to the song "Chinese Democracy". They suck. If Brain isn't playing on at least half the album and is no longer going to be in the band anymore then I am going to be really fucking dissapointed.

Thats great that you're a guitar player and you "know when a drummer is good", but why don't you stick to comparing guitarists and let drummers compare the drummers.

I know everyone here would prefer the original band to be playing in 2006 and beyond.

Actually, I too would rather see the new lineup now. I really love the new songs and I think

they play the old ones with ferocious power. The orginal five were amazing, but that ship began to

set sail in 1990 and never came back to the shore. (no offense to Gilby and Sorum fans). Personally,

That isnt the point. Slash was a nice guy but he was a badass at the same time. Rons nice in a more innocent way.

Um, no. Frank is an excellent drummer but Brain wins in my own personal opinion hands down.

I'm glad he is supposedly re-joining the group for the first U.K. show tonight.

*It makes me sad that Riyadh gets such little love from so many people. I think it has the

This is dissapointing to say the least...although now that I've thought about it, I remember thinking about
