I said somewhere that I admire the hell out of Axl, but I don't idolize him or see him as a sacred cow.

I feel the same about Slash but to a lesser degree. Slash is a great guitar player, but do we know him personally? Do we know Axl personally?

Can we try not to make these issues personal to us? These are problems Axl and Slash have to sort out for themselves - possibly even together, but doubtful. We should just be happy these people exist, though. They show us what a truly individual mind can do. They may both have sides of the story and they may both be 100% correct to themselves, but we weren't there.

But to be that uncompromising is amazing by both of these men. To truly believe in yourself is a good thing.

I have a huge feeling that is the date we will get our official stuff.

I'm not hinging my reputation on it or anything, but if you recall, Best Buy originally had it in their system that CD "dropped" on the 28th, and the employee that relayed the info said "that could possibly be a pre-order date."

I think that is when things are going to go down. We've been right on with most of this type of info, I think this is the biggest lead we have at the moment.

This question is irrelevant. Back then we either had GNR on tour or GNR in the studio working on an album. A release date was set and then announced and then the album came out all in a matter of months.

Now we wait 5 years for a rumor, and then 2 years for a leak, and another 2 years for a tour that's cut short, and then more leaks a year later, and another tour, and then silence followed by more leaks.

I probably wouldn't talk to him about GNR at all. I'd be a lot more interested in his take on the world now - be it skewed or well-informed. Either way, it'd be incredibly interesting.
