jbaker Posted December 6, 2002 Share Posted December 6, 2002 Well, the Fleet Center show the other night kicked ass!! I didn't mind the wait, and once Axl came out, it was all worth it, and some!! But, the next day I found myself in an email battle with the morning, and afternoon DJ's at WAAF in Boston, Nick Carter on BCN, and the editor at the Boston Globe over the moron's writeup of the show... Why does the media feel the need to bash Axl cause he was late? Didn't he put on a great show? I thought so, and I know everyone else in the place did by the noise they were making while he was on!! And, I didn't hear anyone complaining at the free strip shows that were going on... Well, either way, the show ROCKED, and it was by far the best performance I've ever seen!!!!!!Jeff Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

shades Posted December 7, 2002 Share Posted December 7, 2002 Nick Carter and WBCN have been dissin Axl for years,But just you wait, as soon as the music comes out, and people start wanting to hear Guns on the radio, Nick and the sleaze over at WBCN will find a way to snake their way back on the band wagon, there are no real DJ's left anymore,Tom Petty called that one.Its all commercializm and the money train......Nick Carter wants to be, and you can almost hear it, but he has no Balls. The couple weeeks before the GNR show, Nick was playing GNR from beginning to end of his shift, about 3-4 songs daily, at the end of each song he'd come out with some stupid comment like "OHHHHHH, I can' t wait for these guys to come ROCK the Fleet Center (Golf clapping, stupid laughing), they absolutely ROCK"... After the show "Oh, we won't even DISCUSS GNR after the terrible performance". He's a sheep, that's all there is to it. As for Mistress Carie, on AAF, she just disappointed me. She told me she was 3 rows back, from the stage, and basically talked on her cell phone through the show... BULLS**T she did, there'd be no way she could have HEARD... She said Axl's lost it, and has no respect for the people who pay his mortgage... At least the Boston Herald did a REALLY good article on the show....... I flew from San Antonio, Tx for the Fleet Center show and it was worth every penny (I can't make it to the show in Dec in Dallas). Absolutely awesome! Better than in '92 when I saw them with Metallica at Texas Stadium. Got there at 9:45 - just in time for the flash show. Get a life people. Axl calls his own shots and any GnR fan with common sense knows he's not going to come on at 9:00. Great tour....screw Philly and Vancouver....long live GnR!!
