As for, 'Were Not Gonna Take It', that is in a ton of movies, and shows. You can double check that one point dexter. Rumin
"Rock N' Roll All Nite" is pretty well know. Most famous, though? Not even close. As far as the Twisted Sister stuff goes, most people over 30 thankfully don't know their songs.

jack99
Maybe the topic should be, most recognizable song of all time? It's very hard to say... are we talking about people in all countries? Im thinking maybe some classic verse from Mozart of Beethoven could be the most famous even if people often don't know the name composition.I read this a couple of weeks ago... pretty interesting...STOCKHOLM - It's been 15 years since the movie "Pretty Woman" entered the scene, and with that, the now classic song "It Must Have Been Love." Of course, in Sweden the song was released in 1987 already, as "It Must Have Been Love (Christmas for the Broken Hearted)," - Roxette's Christmas single. BMI, one of two organizations like STIM in the US, has now announced that "It Must Have Been Love" has now been played more than four million times on US radio. Per Gessle will therefore get another award from BMI for this. Per comments "It's of course unbelievable." Four million times is about 36 years non-stop playing... Rumin
"Knockin' On Heaven's Door" wouldn't crack the top 20 most famous songs. It's a great Dylan track (and Dylan's is 1,000,000,000x better than GN'R's, no matter how biased you may be). There are a lot more famous Dylan songs than that, though. "Blowin' In The Wind", "Like A Rolling Stone", and "The Times They Are A-Changin'" are more well known.
SexyBeast
WTTJMaybe not the most famous, but it's played at least once at EVERY sporting event and most people at least know that it's by some band "a long time ago" Even those rap diehards probally know it, too. johnezz
Well Stairway to Heaven is THE most played song EVER on radio (even though it was never released as a single)That should certainly mean it's the most famous as it has gotten the most exposure.I know it's not the most famous, but i mean come on, who doesn't know it.
