As it stands, I know nothing about Broadway shows but want to audition for a solo. I want to do something possibly in the likes of Rock of Ages, because even though I have a limited knowledge of Broadway, I would be able to do a song that is just basically a song with slight variations in the Broadway version (Example: wanted dead or alive). Does anyone have any knowledge on famous rock or pop songs used in Broadway type musicals or shows? Or does anyone have any suggestions just for fun Broadway songs to sing in general? merslain Posted January 6, 2018 Share Posted January 6, 2018 Moulin Rogue has some songs in it like Your Song by Elton John, Roxanne by the Police, and if I remember right Smells like Teen Spirit for a moment. The show Glee had a ton. Journey, My Chemical Romance, REO Speed Wagon. Too many to name, check out this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_in_Glee American Idiot was adapted to broadway.
