  1. Huh, watching some of the clips on YouTube now. It was pretty awesome to hear a new spin on Estranged after all of these years. Unfortunately from all I've seen so far, I can't get past the feeling that Axl has given up.

The old band apart from rock in rio 1991 never perform well Estranged,a song much better in studio than in live performances.

  2. Good few empty seats at the end of PC...

Was that because the show ran late and people left or was the show not sold out?

    Great setlist btw

Sold out in the floor,70 per cent sold in the stands.

From one in the morning people started to leave....one hour before the end of the show.but i understan it people have to work and school at 8 in the morning.

  3. Cover piano......here you see how great is the melody, very simple but just great.

I think it is a wonderfull song, now. At first I was like huh??? Then I gave it a chance and I really like it now.

Axl really put alot vocally in this song, which was like going out a limb with it because the vocals through out most of the song are the focal point. It shows his powerful voice but also opens him up to alot of flack for this.

TIL has a different sound and feel to it than anything else on the album.

My fav part in the song is the last 30 secs or so where you think the song is ending then starts back up. For me that part of the song makes it that much better.

How many vocalist will throw themselves out there like he did in this song??? I would bet not to many becasue for me most of the vocalist we have today in rock music can't sing, Axl can and he show cased this in TIL

It is a very unexpected song from Axl and has brilliant ending!!!

I would love to see a big big voice cover it.

i agree with the last 30 secs.

  4. The lyrics are cheesy but not much cheesier than "Don't you cry tonight, I still love you baby" and all that.

The song itself...mmh, I didn't quite like it at first, I have to admit, and never really liked the solo. Not because it's horrible but because it could be MUCH better ( Buckethead... ) and turn the song into an epic one.

Thought it was pretty heavy and emotional live, especially when the guitars kick in towards the end of the solo. You can barely hear them on the album... :shrugs:

Having not seen the song performed live in person probably puts me a huge disadvantage when it comes to appreciating it fully. Hopefully GNR will tour the states and give me an opportunity to gain a new perspective.

It is a fantastic song and you know what, the part that i don't like too much is axl vocals on studio version.

    piano cover is amazing.

Are you a metal fan or pop/rock one?

David i would agree if you would say axl vocals are average on this one and as in fact are in estranged.

what estranged and til have is that are great songs, period.

  5. Best gn'r song after Estranged.

Don't cry is 100 overated compared with TIL.

And From my fav bands Gn'r is the only rock band there than it is only Metal bands, doom, death, gothic.

Emotional and depressive song......if you are a happy person you will not like it,if you are a sad person you will like it.

  6. Skid Row had one decent album, with all the worthwhile material not written by Bach. Angel Down was one of the most bland and generic albums I have ever listened to. So excuse me for not being excited about this.

Angel Down is a ok album, some good songs there,4 or 5......and it is not a comercial album by any means, cool that Bach didn't sell out.

it get's 13 in 20 from me...nothing new of course but everything is invented nowadays in that style.

  7. For me number one,My Dying Bride and A.I.C comes next.

If i have doubts Estranged makes the difference.

But from the current line up and last albums Alice In Chains and live performance get's number one

Chinese Democracy is ok but black ways give to blue is better, last 3 my dying bride albums are average but like gods of the sun from 96 is briliant. rock3

I saw A.I.C thursday,it will had been the concert of my life if they play more 30 minutes( and not only 1 hour )and some songs i realy like, love hate love, all secrets are know, castaway, got me wrong, down in a hole.

    So

    Gn'r...85-93

    My Dying Bride 90-96

    A.I.C 88-2002,2006-

Who the hell on earth can beat this,. rock1 rock1 rock1

  8. Years ago when i got into Rock n Roll it was all GNR for me, nothing could beat that band it was the best in the world!

Then i started listening to some heavier stuff like Megadeth, MetallicA, Anthrax, Slayer, Testament, Behemoth, and many many more, i turned into a pure metalhead over the years.

I Havent listened to GNR in some months, im slowly forgetting all the greatness of it, why..

anyway i just wanna know if theres anybody out there who also has/had the same experience? :shades:

    Behemoth!!!,cool...........Vader is better though...with Doc of course.,r.i.p.

  9. an instrumental version of it was played in seattle 92 as an intro to nov. rain

Is there a video of that somewhere?

I have seen this video too. I wouldn't say that it was an instrumental of TIL, but the two pieces do display similarities.

Sure someone from the forum have the video or audio, can anyone put here to download?

But it is only axl on piano?...maybe it is the same as in Rosemont?or okhaloma?april 1992?

  10. Ja que estamos em portugues. :D
