  1. At least we have Paramore for fappage. Hayley Williams the cutest girl in music today and the music isn't that bad.

Paramore are pretty damn good. It also doesn't hurt that Hayley is so cute either.

    i quite like them

    I love Paramore.

ontopic, at first I thouht they sounded like shit, but gave them another chance and I ended up liking their album.

  2. ahhh, I posted a blog about this crap on my myspace earlier today. I hate how people call "indie" a type of music. indie is when you're releasing your stuff by yourself or signed with an independant label!!!

gosh, today's world confuses me so much :rofl-lol:

That may have been true in the past, but it has since evolved into an actual genre, with many branches off the genre (Indie Pop, Indie Punk, etc.). It may not be what you agree with, but that's how it is. You're just deluding yourself if you think otherwise.

I know that's how it is, but it doesn't mean it makes sense, though!

  3. 90's grunge/modern hip hop

    80's New wave/hair bands/birth of hip hop

    70's Arena bands/punk/Classic Rock

    60's Birth of Britpop/Hippie Rock

What are you talking about? It's pretty much confirmed that emo/indie are the defining genres of the '00's.

What are you talking about? Who told you that? We're talking on a mainstream level. How can indie be mainstream?

Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs, The Killers, The Strokes.... you're telling me they're not mainstream?

  4. I think it's because it's all been done already. bands these days just "borrow" stuff from other, older bands and release their stuff, and some people dont like it. that's just the way things are. but there's been plenty of good bands and albums, just cause you don't like it doesnt make it shit. XD

I'm wondering what you, Gallagher Rose, think a great album is. or even better, tell me how many great albums came out in the 90s

  5. What a crap musical decade we have since 2000.. I can list 4 or 5 great albums like Chinese Democracy, Is This It, Dig Out Your Soul, Back to Black and some other good albums, but that's all.

I was listening to "Somewhere in England" from George Harrison and it's easily better than almost all the current music out there.

We are full of shit music like Akon, Soulja Boy, Tokio Hotel, Jonas gay Brothers and Kanye West nowadays, it's the worst decade for music, ever.

that's just your opinion. I've liked this past decade. of course there's been stuff I'd call crap, but there's been plenty I've liked. and just like someone said: "expand your horizon" lol

lots of my favorite bands came out in the last 10 years. My Chemical Romance, 30 Seconds to Mars, Coldplay, The White Stripes, The Strokes. and some other really good bands, like Thirteen Senses, Travis, Stereophonics, Oasis, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Maroon 5, The Used, Panic at the Disco (among others I cant think of atm).. have all released what imo have been GREAT albums.

and hey, the Jonas Brothers arent gay, they have some pretty catchy songs!! xD

A Modern Myth - 30 Seconds to Mars

    All Apologies - Nirvana
