  1. I should hate it. It's rather overblown and more than a little gay at times.

But I just love it. Flower's glam vocals are awesome and the songs are full of great hooks and melodies.

Favourite songs are When You Were Young, Sam's Town, Bling, This River Is Wild, Read My Mind and Uncle Jonny.

Sam's Town is such a great opener and an enthusiastic stamp of the new direction they want to take.

"Why do you waste my time? Is the answer to the question on your mind"

"I'm sick of all my judges, so scared of letting me shine"

    That's what's great about it :)

    haha I agree.

I listened to it many, many times when it just came out and I haven't really been into them lately... but it's a damn good album.

  2. I've only heard like 2 songs, but didn't like it. Anyway, I plan on giving them another chance one day.. I need to be in the mood though.

I just found out like 2 weeks ago the singer was a guy!! I thought it was a girl (looked like one). XD

  3. nirvana.. they win in any poll for me...

    Even the "who's gayest" poll?

    haha :rofl-lol:

this is sucha weird poll! they're both extremely different bands so I can't compare.. if it was who's your favorite, then I could.. but best?

would be like asking who's the best? The Beatles or Sex Pistols, imo :)

  4. I've watched their videos recently, the lead singer acts like Debbie Harry meeting Avril Lavigne and it sounds and looks artificial sometimes.

Anyway, I like the "Shut up and Let Me Go" video and tune, it's pretty decent. Are they good or crap like Paramore?

crap like Paramore? they're nothing like Paramore... but I like Paramore. XD

I think they're okay, and I like "Shut Up and Let Me Go" too. the video reminds me of Seven Nation Army. :xmasssanta:

  5. Some episodes from season 8 and 9 of the X-Files are some of the best in the series. And I really liked Robert Patrick's character. He even wanted to be in this movie. It's quite sad they didn't invite him back for the movie.

I love 8 and 9 too. It's a shame most people didn't latch on to the new characters.

X-Files still has the most disappointing final episode ever for me though. AWFUL. Even worse than Seinfeld's.

I actually really like the last episode of X-Files.

I also love 8 and 9 too. Alot of people dont because no Mulder and not much of Scully. It was a nice little change.

I loved Mulder & Scully, so seasons 8 and 9 weren't too good -for me- but still, that was way better than stuff on tv these days.

Don't get me wrong, I love Mulder and Scully too, and prefer the earlier seasons, but I really did enjoy 8 and 9.

Also Mulder is in about half of season 8, so that helps make that season more enjoyable.

Yeah, I did enjoy them as well.. just not as much as the earlier ones. :P

And, I watched Hancock yesterday and I gotta say I was surprised by it. I didn't know what to expect really.. but yeah, it was a lot more entertaining than I thought it would be

  7. No , music didint go downhill , music changed , shifted from ur taste category , so to u it sucks , dont generalise , good bands came out that period , like Coldplay ,muse ,the killers , john mayer (subjective) , Mika , the fray, system of a down ,disturbed to name a few.

masinstrean rock radio is good , maybe modern rock radio isnt for you.

I agree... I'd add a few more artits to the post and delete a few too, but that'd be just my taste.

Anyway, I agree that music's changed and just because someone doesn't like it doesn't make it bad. I still can't understand people that don't respect or understand how everyone's different and entitled to their own opinion and tastes.

IMO, this thread went downhill, though... lol
