These guys wouldn't be allowed to issue a press release lying about this stuff, so we'll see I guess. Hope it's not true.
Worst post of the last hour! Maybe two!
-
I'm sorry, but no matter what you say or do, once Axl Rose dubs you the "Pigeons of Shit Metal" and "Canaries or Crapola" there is no going back!!!
One of my best concert moments ever!
-
I was at the show and there are at least two things completly wrong with this story.
#1. By the end they had won over the crowd. Ummm.....no they didn't.
#2. Tommy slammed his bass down and Axl shoved it back in his face. Ummm....that never happened.
If either of these things had happened you would have seen posts here along those lines.
Have seen one post about "EODM grew on me by the end of their set" or "OMG did you see Tommy slam his bass down and Axl give it back to him"????
No you haven't = UNTRUE!

Something tells me that they'll announce when the album is to be released; sortof a consolation prize for not having the album out by 2006 as was promised on numorous occassions.
Cheers,
Andrew
And then I guess we should believe that date.

I've got it on The Final Rip-Off. That sure takes me back to my partying days at Kent State.
I think you've brought up a good point here and I believe it should be looked into further.
Henry Kissinger.....how were missin ya!

...but Dizzy did Angie!

ok well then screw that
Yeah but people recorded the 2002 show and it's at the same venue. You had to go through metal detectors then also.
i thought 02 was at the house of blues
02 was at the Q also. Actually it was Gund Arena at the time.

Sa-weet! We're getting the first show with them on the bill. I had hoped for QOTSA, but this is just as cool!
If at all possible, I am now more pumped for this show.
1 WEEK TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am going to the Detroit show and I though BAZ was going to be there or is this just for C-Town?
The Palace website still says Bach.
Rainman
Toledo, OH USA
I haven't been able to get anyone to verify this yet, but as far as I can tell, we should get BAZ, EODM, Suicide Girls, and GnR. Also not sure of the order.
-
With Eagles of Death Metal joining the bill, does anyone now know the order in which the openers will take the stage? I'm trying to plan my pre-partying.
-
I got another idea for a sign that I think is way more important.
-
You have to go through metal detectors to get into The Q so it may be tough getting that camera in. We have some discussions going on in the Upcoming Concerts section of the Message Board for the Cleveland show. Go check 'em out.
We get the first show of the tour with Eagles of Death Metal opening and as far as I know, we should also be getting Sebatian Bach.
Please let me know if I don't have the openers correct or if I'm missing 1 or 2 - thanks

OK, I haven't found too many 'Official' parties, but here is what I've learned.
Pre-parties!!
The Hard Rock Cafe does not have anything scheduled.
Cooperstown (Alice Cooper's rock/sports bar) will have extended happy hour until 9pm.
The Boneyard has nothing official scheduled. I'm gonna keep pluggin this place because it's my favorite place to drink before Q events. Happy hour until 7 and then I'll probably head to Cooperstown.
Post-parties!!
Last call is at 2/2:15am at Cleveland bars and with GnR usually leaving the stage right around then, the options will be limited. Best bet for outta towners - keep some on ice in your hotel room (and invite me over )
Peabody's Down Under lists on their home page a Meet and Greet with Sebastian Bach and Metal Mike??? It says doors open at "10pm after G-n-R show!" which is kinda funny seeing as how GnR won't hit the stage for another hour and a half.
Keep 'em coming folks!! Looking forward to meeting you all. I'll be in an HTGTH shirt with Where's /jarmo? on the back.

The Q (Quicken Loans Arena) is located right near the intersection of I-77 and I-90. Getting back on the freeway after a show does take a few minutes because the streets all get flooded with cars at the same time (although with as late as GnR plays, half the crowd could be gone by 2am). Jacob's Field and the freeways are the only things located south of The Q. The nightlife is all to the west, north, and east.
The Hard Rock Cafe is to the west.
Cooperstown is to the east.
There are tons of bars/restaurants to the north.
There will be panhandlers around lookin for extra change and scalpers lookin to sell you over priced tickets.
Be respectful and you should have no problems. Cleveland is a wonderful city (starting to get cold) and I have never had problems downtown.
-
I have GA Floor seating. Are there actually going to be seats? It would be so fuckin stupid if there was.
No seats. Just your ass standing for 4-6 hours.

At the Q you have to go through metal detectors, so good luck.

I have no idea if this was posted before.
But i had never seen it.
and this is the most concrete thing from HMV to date:
Couldn't anyone fake that? Like if they were really, really bored?
-
how close is this being a sell out? it's a large venue, so maybe with gnr these days, it's not close at all. i mean without an album and all. any nunbers?
Don't have numbers, but rest assured, not close to sell-out
-
I'm trying to get as many different screen shots of tickets available for this tour and one that I don't have is the TicketFast version from Ticketmaster for this show. If anyone has printed their tickets, could you please take a pic and post it here - thanks!

Krist has too much going on right now......oh wait!

Pushing the release back into 2007 would represent a significant failure for Axl. He has said 2006 and it will hurt his credability if he doesn't follow through.
Correct.
This time it's hit or miss for Axl. If he doesn't get his shit together this time, Axl and "the entity known as Guns N Roses" will be gone. They won't get a third chance.
i dont think so...axl will have all the chance in the world...as long as all you hardcore dwonloading mother fucker exists...
thats the reason this whole cd thing got blown out...it should have been released long time ago...because of the appetite, axl feed you all with destructions...get me!
The only thing people "get" about you after these few posts is that english is either not your first language or your extremely bad at construction grammerical sentences.
and you're a bit on an idiot.
A8R
WOW - did you read your reply before hitting submit? I think not.

hey all Cleveland bound mutherfuckers....Just bought my tickets..Sect. 130 Row 11...Aisle seat.I figured aisle seats would be perfect since I'm sure their will be many beer brakes during concert...Oh and piss breaks!
Keep in mind that Cleveland has a history of cutting off beer sales early. So if Axl decides to not take the stage until just before 11 we could be looking at an hour and a half, or more, of no beer sales. Of course this is just an estimate, but this definitely could happen.
-
Anyone out there?????I've got about 105 bucks to spend per ticket right now any suggestions for best seats avail. at this price....???How is sect.133??Looks good to me??
Well, the $77 (plus $9 TM charge) GA floors are still available, as well as C109 (lower bowl) for $52. I would say that any seats should be good as long as they aren't upper bowl. Sound can get a little muddled up there in Da Q. I'd also not get any behind the stage (don't know if they'll sell these). I sat in my company's loge that was behind the stage for Metallica and the sound royally stunk - but the free beer tasted good.
I'd say that as long as you don't mind standing for 4 hours or so, the floor is the way to go. Otherwise score some lower bowl, on the side, seats and every 15 minutes remind yourself how happy you are that you aren't standing (obviously you'll be standing while GnR are jammin!).
We'll have to start thinking about possible locations for a pre-show party. Start submitting ideas of places within a few blocks of the Q. I personally don't mind walking a bit - hell, I park at the Federal Reserve Bank that is about 10 blocks away, just so I don't have to pay crazy parking prices. After a couple of weeks I'll make some calls and see if any place wants to host us..ie... appetizer specials and drink specials. This being a weekday performance, most places will have happy hour prices until 7pm.
Til next time-
Eagles Of Death Metal Lash Out (Again)

Don't call me an Axl sympothizer just because I call someone's post stupid. Saying that a band couldn't make a press release (although it looked more like an interview) that is a lie, is so naive.
I am sorry about my bluntness. I'm a big GnR fan, but I'm startin to get a bit irritated without having more interesting topics to discuss other than what a bunch of jealous posers have to say.
Damn Pigeons
