George Harrison-Here Comes The Sun
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Bloody what the fuck!
Here Comes The Sun was written by George Harrison, dude...
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I admit I was taking stupid pills this morning.I know he wrote it and even though I am not a huge Beatles fan I know it's from Abbey Road album. What I mean't to type was Nick Cave version of it.
Bloody hell, skin me alive dude and cover me with salt for making a slip up on a Sunday morning

didn't someone do whisky in the jar? which i hink is an old irish tune
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Thin Lizzy most famously.
Who hasn't,even Daniel O Donnell has.
The Dubliners imo do the best version.

I grew up with Sabbath but I found Maiden on my own so tough call. Both in their own rights rock so very hard for me to decide...
I will go for Maiden, due to Sabbath with Ozzy pulling out last year.Maiden rocked live
-
Lately I have begun to appreciate Chad Smith alot more and also Josh Klinghoffer. His work with Ataxia is pretty cool.I saw him live when he played with PJ Harvey but don't recall it Kinda of a shame.
Keith Moon,Charlie Watts and John Densmore have always been my favs..
-
John Fruscainte.
-
I always liked him,my dad was a huge fan.One minute he was useless the next he was the best player is Mississippi.LOL I love the quote"He sold his soul to the devil"
-
Fugazi-Red Medicine,Repeater and also 13 songs.
-
BTW just found out he toured with Morrisey.

This guy just blows me away.
Only 25 years old and the guy is musical prodigy. He dropped out of school, joined TBT went on to tour with Beck,P.J Harvey, worked with John Frusciante and also toured with Vincent Gallo.
The list of instruments this guy can play goes on and on....
Anyone else heard of him/like him?
-
Glenn Hughes/Joe Lally.Joe deserves credit full stop...
-
Never was much a fan..Not to my liking...I was more into The Stones.
-
The three main ones at the moment are:
Glenn Hughes(featuring Chad Smith&John Fruscainte) Nights In White Satin..
That songs just floors me,it hits a nerve so deep, but yet so very sensual and it reminds me of someone very special to me.I can't help but feel happy and content when I hear it.Also the first time I heard that version it made me realise just how important someone was to me...If I didn't cut out all the shit and drama I would lose them and lose something that meant more to me than I even realised..Now it's our song
You Got It Right-Poppy Black(Alt B)This song I love.It is by a very dear friend of mine and it reminds me just how amazingly talented/gifted he is and what an amazing person he is.A comfort song for those difficult moments.I play it when I feel lonely and no matter where I am,it has the power to lift me up in a second and make me smile..
Coming Back To Life-Pink Floyd provokes mixed feelings, feeling of love and then such loss. The person who first brought this song to my attention, touched me in a way I could never forget and would never want too..Some people come into your life for such a very short space of time but have a long term effect on the way you will now see things to come...

I still am.I only get in when someone sends me a link to a thread.
