on some absolutely real shit, i hate 90% of the guitar solos i listen to.
the electric guitar is probably my least favorite instrument.
You're outrageous you are!
But seriously, what would you place above the electric guitar? It's one of the most versatile instruments out there.

Ah Mother Love Bone, great band, Apple is a great album They had a very unique sound, and especially Andrew, he had a very distinctive voice. Crown of Thorns is probably my favourite song by them.
Still, I guess with Andrew Wood dying we got Temple of the Dog and Pearl Jam, so something positive came out of it

Mike is awesome.

My preference goes to King For A day followed by Angel Dust

I just into FNM so i was pretty happy to find out they are reforming.
One question for the hardcore fans: What album is the best to buy first.... cos i know that often The real thing is quoted as the best, but from my limited knowledge of FNM i think Angel Dust might be more in line with my tastes.
So yeah.... suggestions?
xXx
I wouldn't say The Real Thing is often quoted as their best: that honour goes to Angel Dust usually.
That being said, if you're looking for their more guitar-based works, get King For A Day...Fool For A Lifetime; it's probably their most easily-accessible album in my opinion, while still retaining the FNM trademark weirdness and genre-hopping Still, all of their albums are great, even their latest - Album of the Year - is severly underated.

I'm willing to take my chances that they'll do warmup gigs beforehand (this whole 'Only UK date' thing may just be a way of selling more Download tickets, which aren't selling like hot cakes this year due to the rival Sonisphere festival), or they may add dates after Download is played. It's also possible that Download will start to sell day-tickets for this reason.
The kind of fans at Download would just ruin the whole experience IMO
-
Ah not download I won't pay that amount of money to watch a dozen shitty bands before Faith come on.
Really? I would pay almost anything since this might be the only time to see them.
Thats a good point, I'm still holding out for day tickets or any other dates, despite the website saying it's the only UK date they'll be doing...

Fuck yeah!
This will be incredible...If I can actually get tickets
-
This is great news Hopefully it will be reminiscent of Purple or No. 4, or something completely out of the ordinary
-
What a piss poor publicity stunt.
Couldn't have said it any better

making a poll was a terrible idea; you can't expect everyone on the forum to have the same awful taste as you do. and if you actually meant what the biggest song was in terms of success, then having a poll--which is subjective--is even more idiotic.
oh, and the best song of the year was tie my hands from the carter iii. real hooray for tolerance!s can feel me on that.
..Says the guy with a Lil Wayne sig.
As close as any song has gotten to the sound or essence of the Beatles IMO.....
