Question for anyone that has been to the first two shows. How much are the tickets being sold for by the scalpers?? How much are they asking?? Just wondering.

I saw tickets being sold on line going for 50.00 bucks. the dude infront of me had 1 and right before we hit the doors he sold it 30 dollars.

Also - what's the deal with getting booze inside the Hammerstein? They have a bar open or something?

they have a bar inside. but you can smuggle some booze in, door security just pats you down before you go in.

i just back from the show and it fucking rocked. the crowd was on fire. the right side of the floor had a pit going during nightrain, axl and the band sounded onfire.they played rocket queen, axl dedicated the show to his mom {but i dont think it was his birth mom} and also to baz for saving his life. off bed more tomorrow.

they were just playing Rocket Queen on the radio here in new york. And then when the song ended the dj said he wished he had tickets to any of the 4 sold out shows at the hammerstein. But since they sold out in a blink of an eye he will not be going.

I just called irving plaza at 212-777-6800 to see if they still had tickets ( ya i no but hey it was worth a shot) but they told me that it was all the ORGINAL MEMBERS OF GNR so what did i expect which made me feel a little worse lol but anyway im not messing around call for yourself if you dont belive me but dont get your hopes up

No I dont think every gnr fan is on this forum, but just because Axl reappears with a bunch of random musicians doesnt mean they can become the best band in the world. Yes people will hear the new material on the radio and yes gnr will win win more fans but biggest band in the world? or even top 5? I doubt it.

agree....and also time have changed a lot..if GnR have to move to top..it would have happened in 2002...that 89 era will never comeback again...

In 2002 there was no cd, next to no promotion and a tour that really wasnt planned well. In 2006 already tons of promotion on the internet and here in nyc the 2 rock stations are talking about the hammerstein gigs. All 4 hammerstein shows seem to be sold out. Guns are doing a european/festival tour for teh summer. It'll never be 1991-1993 again. But we can start a new beginning this year.

Im driving from delaware and im just going to go up the jersey turnpike. Does anybody know a good place to park in Jersey and catch a different form of transportation into the city. So I can avoid the traffic.

well you can drive to the newark path/nj transit trains and park there and then take to train into the city. It'll leave you in penn station right across the the street from the hammerstein.

two questions

1- anyone know the exact address or if I get into a cab and say hammerstein ballroom Ill be ok

2- taking a bus in and get dropped off at grand central I believe not sure coming from upstate ny for the 17th show how far will that leave me?

the hammerstein is 311 W 34th St

and grand central station is on 42nd st. so you could walk it or take a cab.

Don't stay the Hotel Penn. Crap place even though it's cheap and across the street from MSG and Penn Station.

The hotel penn is fine if your just gonna crash there after the show. And for whoever was looking for an internet cafe i know of one on 42nd st and 7th avenue. it's 8 blocks north from the hammerstein. there might be one closer not sure.

well since they added 2 more shows and no one could get tickets on the 11:00 a.m. presale, maybe they sold out.

And the people on ebay did not just get the tickets from the presale - they were there before the tickets even went on sale.

People on ebay who were selling tickets before they went on sale are scamming you. You are bidding on tickets that the seller does not have. If the seller does not get the tickets you paid for you are screwed.
