First and foremost it is a blessing to have the band (ax,slash,duff) together and touring.   I love it.   People want new music, but GOOD new music.  I hate to be a pessimist but I believe those chances are thin.  We love Guns b/c of the magic they captured 30 yrs ago.  But i haven’t heard anything from any of them that makes me think they’ll be knocking any socks off with new songs.  Unless of course Izzy is involved in the songwriting.  Then I believe it’s possible to hear some tasty new tracks.  

They had plenty of time to knock out an EP this wknd.  I’m sure they’ll put the rush on it to release by Memorial Day. Can’t wait!  

I heard from an anonymous and unverified source claiming to have gleaned this from someone close to Axl but thought I’d pass it along to our community.  Only a rumor so take it with many grains of salt of course.  Unfortunately I have no further information.  Don’t shoot the messenger.  Has anyone caught wind of anything to corroborate this?

Those who complain to GNR about ticket prices are so ignorant.  Capitalism will naturally drive ticket prices to the price people are willling to pay.  If GNR listed their tickets for $10 each on Ticketmaster they would end up being bought and sold in the secondary market at the same price they are actually charging anyway (because that is what they are worth b/c it is what consumers are willing to pay). The only difference in this scenario is that the scalpers will pocket the extra money instead of the artists (who are the rightful individuals to collect the value for their work).

I liked Matts drum solos during the UYI tour.  They were great.  I think most that were there would agree.  Wish he was with the band now instead of Ferrer
