yeah i hate that too, but for U2 the edge is pretty famous too. a good example of this is the cure, no one rly knows who the hell the other ppl are, and robert smith is the only one seen in the videos, album covers, posters and all that. i also think that robert smith once said something like "no one cares about the other members of the band".

well some moron decided to close the cbgb cuz of unpaid rent or something, and remplace it with OFFICE BUILDINGS (as if there where not enough in NY)!! i'm outraged that they would close down such an importan place in the history of rock, the ramones where huge and influenced a bunch of bands, so was blondie, and even if they r not as famous television were great too!! and so many other great bands started there! anyway, there is a petition u can sign to try and save CBGB's :

i don't think nirvan r rly overated, it's just that today the only bands posers know r emo crap and nirvana. but rly, kurt cobain was a musical genius, he wrote all the songs pretty much himself and even if you don't like them you have to admit they are (most of them) good songs.

i hate all the "artists" who have there record companys write their songs for them and then make a big deal when they help write the lirycs to one song on their album. i also hate what ppl call "new school" punk like good charlotte, simple plan, sum 41, blink 182... how can ppl even THINK of comparing that shit to punk??

the fact that they invented their own rock n' roll doesn't mean that they did not inspire them selves of anyone else. if u listen to the early led zep albums you'll see that they r very blues influenced.

i don't have any myself yet but iv contacted a bunch of ppl so if i don't need them u can have their emails. the price i had set was 400£ but u could probably bring it down

well i dunno if slash counts as a UK artist cuz gnr, although all the members r not 100% american, has always been considered a US band, and slash is also half american.

my mom dated gene simmons, and met axl at a party (but can't even remeber if the other members were there), and is good friends with alan merrill (he wrote "i love rock n' roll") so i met him too.

definetly not !! all the credit he gets, he deserves !! however on thing that he got all the credit for was playing guitar with a violin bow, cuz many ppl think he was the first one to do that, which is bs it was acctually the creation's eddie phillips (i think). appart from that he deseved it all he rocks!!

Geldofs heart might be in the right place but his head is well and truely stuffed up his arse.

If you tell people to come support hungry people in Africa, a ton of people are going to show and give their money to that cause. People will pay to see bands that they like. There is nothing wrong with that at all. Geldof is putting on a good show to make more money to help out the hungry people even more. I don't know how his head is stuffed up his arse when he is making good business decisions, and by using your plan he would have nothing.

and how exactly is making this a lottery a good choice?? ppl who don't give a fuck about the concert end up with tickets and ppl who will do anything to b there end up with nothing, and then when these ppl try to sell their tickets that they do not want to fans bob geldof starts bitching about them making money on charity's back!! you can't make pink floyd's reunion after 20 years a god damn lottery!! that's just plain stupid. And he could have made a hell of a lot more money by SELLING the tickets, cuz a lot of ppl r willing to pay up to 600£ for them!!! his intentions r obviously good, but exactly how stupid do u have to b to do that? and now he's acting all shocked, well if he was not expecting this to happen, then he is even stupider than i thought...
