    Shame on you! :o

They were shot on 16mm, and the final edits were put on video tape for TV broadcasting. The ones included here are not even new copies from the TV master. But the same quality as on the old DVDs, bloated to 30Mbps H.264. A waste of space and bandwidth really.

I'd have bought the blu if I could. I still will if it's ever released as a stand alone.

If they were shot on 16mm then it's a shame they didn't take the opportunity to rescan them.

    Did you finally buy it?

I bought the 4 discs as 24/192 downloads.

    I found the Blu-Ray elsewhere ;)

    Oh without a doubt!
It just feels like a wasted opportunity that they didn't re-master the original videos in HD :/

I guess it depends how they were shot. If it was VHS there is no more quality to be extracted from the tapes.

If they were shot on 35mm then I agree. A travesty.

right. you can get the 4-disc main content in 24/192 quality for $67 from HDTracks, but the rest of the stuff is a different league.

Yes thanks, I've bought and downloaded the 4 disc 24/192 (I just wanted the music in it's best quality, not the CD's and other materials).

I want to buy the download/physical copy of the blu-ray.

Well, the only legal way, it seems.

Same goes for the 5.1 on the blu-ray. Only way to hear that is to buy the super deluxe.

And they wonder why people torrent! It’s because there is no legal way to buy just the content you want.

Sell the blu-ray. I’ll buy it immediately.

Is the 5.1 version of Appetite only available in this boxset and the L&L boxset? I'm curious to experience that. I've never owned a 5.1 surround system, but years ago a buddy played me The Downward Spiral in 5.1 and I was blown away by how different the experience was compared to just listening to the normal CD  Will be expensive if I need to buy a surround sound system and the Super Deluxe boxset :(

I too am interested in hearing the 5.1 mix. If you ever get chance listen to Dark Side of the Moon in 5.1 - truly epic.
