Havnt heard enough of him to judge but what i have heard is very cool. Nick Cave is as good as anyone mentioned and Ryan Adams being the best contemporary songwriter out there surely deserves a place in such illustrious company

Also Andy Wallace done a fantastic job on Jeff Buckley Grace, alot of layered guitar and vocal parts alongside organ and strings, very rich and grand sounding.

I'm ready to bet that a lot of people who are voting for Sgt. Pepper never listened to Pet Sounds...

They're the one's missing out

I've never understood the fuss about sgt pepper and it certainly cant touch pet sounds.

The lyrics, music, singing and production is perfect and the concept of love, loss and longing certainly beats sgt pepper, which even to this day i still dont know what the supposed concept was
