Funny I was just thinking about this song and I have been listening to it the past few days. I dig it... Stinson's vocals don't bother me, and Axl's backing vocals are great. It totally sounds like a guns song to me. It's not a masterpiece for sure, but it's one of the only "new" things we've heard in years. Though, it would be great to hear the Axl version if it is even true.

Guess not. Seriously though... it's bad enough hearing countless stories and accusations over and over. It taints the music for me. I like to think people who write beautiful music are beautiful people. But circumstantial evidence suggests otherwise. There must be a reason why all these people in the industry have beef with him. Not every story you hear is bullshit... there is some truth to the negativity.

They don't like being strung along and lied to.

Yet we keep coming back for more time and time and time and time and time again.

At this point it doesn't really matter to me. I think Axl is a pretty disrespectful and just all around asshole kind of guy and clearly he hasn't and won't change his antics. I've accepted this and maybe you die-hards should just consider the fact that he is an out of control ego driven ass bag.

That being said, I still love his music and think he is genius. I just don't care for him on a personal level any more. There is no more defending him IMO.

If I'm not mistaken, I can only find this pre-order on the HMV UK site... it doesn't show up on the us site (which amazon controls). So once again, somebody is just guessing.

And do you you really think the cover art will just be the logo? I guess it is possible, and I do like the logo, but I don't buy it.

Agreed. It was just a bad deal all together. He wasn't ready, and I think/hope he realized that. 2006 looks a lot more promising.

2002 was shit, his voice was crap!, 2006 sounds great! i think axl learnt alot from the 2002 comeback, he's going to do it right this time.

these demos were recorded a while ago supposedly. i just think he didn't sound so great live at several shows... but in the studio that's a different story. a lot of that probably just had to do with conditioning. it had been a while since he performed live and with all of the adrenaline and everything... forget it.

From the first time I heard madagascar I thought there might have been some problems getting permission from the King family to use the clip of his speech. It's common knowledge that MLK's kids are trying to milk every penny they can get from their fathers name. They ask for payment every time the "i have a dream" speech is shown, which means that kids in schools in poor neighborhoods can't get to watch it. There might be a chance that they won't allow Axl to use this clip because of some resentment ligering from "one in a million" but I'd say mostly that this issue is going to boil down to the size of the check that Axl's people will wave in front of them.

plus the fact that axl dropped the "N" bomb a few times... hopefully he's redeemed himself since then, but if I was the King family I'd give it the old "hell no".

Here's the deal...

The guy who supplied the songs said he has three full ones.

1.5 have been leaked, leaving twat and the rest of better.

I fully believe they exist because he clearly wasn't bullshitting about having them. For whatever reason, people got cold feet. I'm guessing they have been in touch with various administrators & possibly management about putting a stop to it.

I say just let them out already. These aren't final versions, and it is creating a big deal of buzz and publicity for the band.
