We suspect that GN'R may follow the Radiohead route of pay-as-you-like downloads. But we stress this has not been confirmed.This is not a good idea to recuperate some $13-14m(?) - let alone when recent mild mumblings of "big promotion" are coming from "the know".
Another source close to the GN'R camp also suggested that Chinese Democracy may gain a conventional release in late summer, with a view to it becoming "a big Christmas album".^ This is.^

Video Recorded and Single released now he said he was going to do it, so lets think... IT IS POSSIBLE to do a video is DAYS but realistically with post and pre production, and how picky axl is.. it could take weeks to do it
Add to that the fact that this video is likely to be on the larger side of normal, probably both financially and visually.
Who would spend money on a video nowadays ? The nineties are over, guys.
If JamesLofton were here he'd post, "Some people don't even know the eighties are over".

I want to remind everyone to respect Forum rules when making comments about both Axl and Merck (and anyone else for that matter).
It's ok to discuss, have different points of view, be mad, be glad, etc. But there's a big difference in comminucating disagreement or insatisfaction and bashing.

One of things I encountered when talking with people who claimed to have or know people who had new... 'goodies', was that one of them claimed to have a 20 minute or so Axl interview in Mexico, I think after one of the shows there in 2007. I think he may have said it will be released as some sort of 'auxiliary' or 'accompanying' disc, though the memory is hazy on that....
I have no idea if there is any truth to this, but, given that this same source told me the Fernando allegations (because remember that's all they may be), the ANTIQUIET leaks, the 'November-December' (to use his exact term) release date, and various other things that have happened (although some things that have not occurred: such as a new open letter pitting the fans against a departing or semi-departing Finck) I might soon be able to add this to the uncanny list of things 'they've got right'.
Watch these spaces.
