from the very short clips released of the new season of breaking bad, it looks like walt is going to go crazy with power i think it will be a great season but i find it a little unrealistic that his character would change so much over 5 years

A member of the police i was chatting to told me that the sergent (or whatever the highest ranking guy was) told the band to go on stage on time or not at all, for fear of him breaking curfew

saw the avengers. didn't think it was nearly as great as everyone went on about it. i liked it, it was very funny but some parts dragged and the end fighting scenes just turned into a massive CGI mashup(michael bay style) that went on 10 minutes too long

maybe the movie was over hyped that raised my expectations too much

went to see them in the RDS in 06. was a good show. but from chatting to a few guardi i knew then, they told me the chief(sergeant, whatever) told GnR to go on stage on time or he wouldn't allow them on because he didn't want them to play past the curfew. I remember thinking it was odd how Axl came on right on time when i had been reading about the other european shows around that time he had been coming on late

didn't bother seeing them the last time. i enjoyed the show but i don't think he can charge premium prices for an old act. if it was cheaper i would have gone. hearing about what happened, i'm glad i didn't.

honestly there will not be a riot, trust me, i think they may change venues however(which i would prefer if i was going)

oz, no. it was good until season 3 until adabsi died. but then the story seemed to get so ridiculous! and even cheesy at some points. it ended terribly and left me cringing

I'm sure I could find something on it if I searched back a little bit, but is anybody here into Sons of Anarchy? To be honest, I had never even heard of it until recently when one of my stores started carrying the merchandise. Now everybody seems to be asking me about it and the merchandise. I was surprised to learn it's several seasons in. Is there a reason for it's sudden rise in popularity, or has it been this popular all along and I was just oblivious?

its a good show. season 1 was very much an introduction with no real story, however season 2 was amazing and by far the best. 3 was alright, a bit meh a boring in parts and the 4th was good again

for those playing Skyrim on ps3, whenever you go into the menu(by pressing O) do you find sometimes the game doesn't respond to controller movements? I usually have to close and open the menu multiple times. it sometimes happens on the system menu(by pressing start) or the favourites menu. i find it very annoying and something that should be number 1 priority to patch

BTW i have the latest patch installed

It autosaves sometimes when you enter the menu which might seem like the game isn't responding. I turned off autosave as it seems to speed the game up considerably. Shorter loading times when entering/exiting buildings and no more waiting for the menu.

although as a programmer, one of the basic rules is to make a thread/background process when writing/saving data because its slow and causes problems like this.

are you kidding me? american idol has more ratings but that doesn't make it a good show. big bang theory is easy to watch, predictable, full of plot holes and cheesy. that's why it gets better ratings, people don't seem to want intelligent comedy and wanna look at the pretty girl. i don't mind watching the show but its not great

community is awesome, they go against the grain, have original story lines and pay homage to classic shows. the characters are great(besides shirley), the jokes are usually double sided. i can watch the same episode 4 times and still find new jokes or things to laugh at. and they seem to know what their fans would like and then they give it to them(paintball 2 anyone? )

Community reminds me a lot like arrested development, its so good yet the casual tv fan can't see it...

i didn't get the massive fuss with Taxi driver. it was alright IMO.

Taken never gets old, just a straight up action movie without the cheesy mandatory love/hate relationship with a female accomplice who gets together with the main guy that dominates all action movies now

i'm going off the walking dead. getting sick of the constant "no you can't go/come" arguments, the very slow paced plot and the predictable plot

Just finished up the first season of Homeland (Showtime) over the past few days. Loved it.

I loved the show, but i thought the last episode was very weak. looking forward to season 2, but they will have to try really hard to keep the same basic plot exciting

Starting prison break season 4, has a sorta usual suspects vibe but i hate the way tv shows like this keep characters in it like ----SPOILER ALERT---- belick mahone sucre sara and dont get me started on t bag "looks like im coming along in this endevour...again.."

Maybe should have ended after the fox river escape was resolved but £ talks

i've played the last 4, usually i use the same tactics/training. but in this game i find that every game i play, i get at least one injury. and some of them keep players out for months.

i know it's mostly bad luck, but i've never had this many injuries in any of the previous versions. anyone else experiencing the same?

Yeah I found that too. To be honest , I think the series went downhill a while ago, but most people don't agree with that.

All the stupid press meetings, which are basically the same every time, are just stupid and pointless.

Also, when you start as a new team, and you decide to bench somebody for like 4 games, who used to play semi-regularly, they will complain ridiculously quickly.

Just made the whole experience frustrating and like it wasn't even about the tactics, just how you treat the players/press.

I agree. i usually send my assistant to the press conferences, however i find it stupid that if he insults a player, i get the blame. there is too much rigid ego management

Also i find that it's near impossible to sign one big name player.

Occupying myself with the Uncharted series until Skyrim gets patched.

I finished the first Uncharted a few weeks ago. I was pretty disappointed. The gameplay seemed very inconsistent. The platforming sections were pretty fun, but sometimes it felt like I'd jump 2 feet and sometimes I'd jump 20 feet, doing almost the exact same thing with the controller. The combat sections just got annoying towards the end. "Walk 10 feet, get ambushed by a bunch of enemies, walk 10 feet, get ambushed, etc., etc" seemed like what they had in mind when creating the game. The final "boss" was also incredibly lame, and the dude having a one-shot kill gun with aimbot at the end was the most annoying thing I experienced in a game where I thought a lot of things were fairly annoying.

Overall, it was a pretty fun game, but it had tons of flaws. I have Uncharted 2, and I'll be playing that soon. I hope they fixed most of the things I had problems with.

The second one is amazing. I cant remember too much of the first, i enjoyed it but not as much as the second. the humour is good also. my only gripe is the "sci-fi" parts they throw in

its a shame the discovery channel has turned into a lame reality tv channel.

in general i haven't seen much good documentaries on tv, they all seem to be the same old WW2 stuff, any interesting ones i see now are just online.

i watched heart of darkness yesterday. it's a documentary of the making of Apocalypse now. very interesting, however they didn't delve deep into some things such as Marlon Brando being a tool, and francais going crazy. also i'd have liked to seen some bits about what happened between filming and its release
