  1. I'm not very good at this, but I tried to write a little tribute to Freddie

    Your life was brief

    And you burned so bright

    You won our hearts

    Though you lost the fight

    The world always hanging

    On every word you'd say

    Watching in awe

    As you blew us away

    You were a shooting star

    But you flew too fast

    Living on the edge

    But it couldn't last

    You buried your secret

    Inside for so long

    Your body withered

    But your spirit stood strong

    You kept on shining

    To the bitter end

'Til it was time to say

    Goodbye, my friend

    Your legend lives on

    And we'll always remember

    The beauty we lost

    That cold day in November

    Beautiful words ARQ.

Freddy was amazing. Thank god his music will live on forever.

  2. I liked the no leaf clover song.

The rest of the album was nice to hear once, but I don't really like it. Most songs were pretty much butchered on it.

  3. I love the sheer, best dutch band of the last 10 years.

    Tied with Racoon imo.

Seen both live twice this year.

The Sheer is just so energetic and intence. Bart is amazing as a frontman! It just shows in every way that these guys LOVE to do what the're doing, putting so much passion and energy in their music. Really nice and moddest guys as well. I met them after the show. I saw them in De Oosterpoort in Groningen and at the Sunsation Festival in Middelstum (just above Groningen).

Racoon is also very powerfull. More mature as musicians. Bart's voice (yes, both the singers of these bands are named Bart) is incredible. Not a wrong note in there. Great musicians. I've loved them ever since their first album, but I never got to see them live until this year. I've seen them at Bevrijdingsfestival Assen and (also) at the Sunsation Festival in Middelstum.

These two bands are the best things happening in the Dutch music scene in years.

I saw The Sheer this year at the Booch festival in Heerlen. They were the first band to perform, because they had two other shows that day. When they started playing there were only a few people there (it was raining too), but their show was so energetic, it was like they were playing for a full stadium. At the end of the show there were a lot of people.

I wanted to see Racoon too. They were the last band to perform that day. But Krezip :anger: , on of the worst Dutch bands in the last years, took so long that I had to go home, or I would have missed the last train. Therefore I could only see one song of Racoon, but that was pretty good too.

  4. YOU SUCK!

Hahahaha ok, well i know alot of people think that music these days suck, but just after going to a Wolfmother gig last nite i have every belief that music is better now than it has been since the 70's.  Man Rock (and i mean REAL rock, not 80's pop-rock) is back in full force.

Geez its a great time to be alive, im really excited.  Music scene kicks major ass, ive been to some fucken ace gigs as of late.

I don't know how people would want to fork out like $80 to see washed up rockers, i say leave it to the fresh new guys, $20 a gig.  :D

    Rock on  rock3

PS: Please feel free to flame the fuck outta me.

I love the sheer, best dutch band of the last 10 years.

Peter Pan Speedrock is great too, and I like bands like 50 foot combo and jaya the cat. But there are almost no good mainstream bands.
