  1. slash, duff and izzy must be sitting around right now shaking there heads. i sure there pretty glad there not in band anymore there not in there mid/late 20's partying and being the most dangerous band in the world anymore. there 40 years old and i'm sure their glad to be away from this circus.

  2. with all these problems it will be hard to plan another tour later in the when the disc finally comes and people are even more pumped then they already are. venues are gonna start saying the risk of problems happening is to high to bother booking the band to play. please axl make a statement about what's going on and make it now

  3. I agree it's not an excuse to break stuff just cause it is cancelled.  This is not good for the band and i hope there is a good excuse this time though.  I was in vancouver and as soon as got back home to edmonton everybody is on me asking what went wrong, bashing axl and the band for not showing, negative publicity is not always good publicity.  i am surprised to hear there was not more damage.  When go out for drinks tonight i know gonna hear all the what is gnr's problem again just like after vancouver.

  4. there was a reason i did my personal top 10 and the bands top 10 musically as two different lists to keep people like you from getting stressed.  you don't see the blues on the bands top 10 do you. compare my two lists and you'll see a lot of differences.  the blues is awesome

  5. that was the last time slash and duff were around and were trying to work on a disc at that time with axl and we all know how that turned out.

  6. My favorite 10

    1.   Estranged

    2.   You Could Be Mine

    3.   Dead Horse

    4.   Yesterdays

    5.   Nightrain

    6.   Rocket Quenn

    7.   Paradise City

    8.   Don't Cry (any version)

    9.   The Blues

    10. Sweet Child o Mine

    The best 10

    1.   Estranged

    2.   November Rain

    3.   Civil War

    4.   Don't Cry (any version)

    5.   Coma

    6.   Patience

    7.   Sweet Child o Mine

    8.   Welcome To The Jungle

    9.   Yesterdays

    10. Paradise City

  7. If I could only own 1 cd it would be illusion #2.

my 2 fav songs are estranged and you could be mine so it's a no-brainer to pick #2. You also get civil war, yesterdays, don't cry(alt. version), 14 years. The only way you can beat this disc is with a guns greatest hits.

  8. It's great to see so many make the list.  You know there will be at least 5 more in the top half.

    Sweet Cild O Mine

    Welcome to the Jungle

    November Rain

    Paradise City

    You Could Be Mine

Estranged should be there but it's a song that is only given it's true credit by us hardcore guns fans.  Knockin on heavens Door might have shot if they look like their willing to consider cover songs.

  9. Image was very important but it was ultimately the music that made them the biggest band in the world. If it had been to much because of the image Guns would have disappeard like the rest of bands at the time have done, bands like Poison, Motley Crue, RATT, Skid Row, Def Leppard, Great White, Twisted Sister where are they now?

  10. Estranged is my fav too.  Best song although YCBM is right behind it being the one that got me into Guns in the first place.  The video for estranged is the best video ever i love the highlights onstage from a show in germany of the band playing what a show that must have been.

  11. I be the first to admit i love the ain't life grand cd.  I wish slash hadn't gotten sick and cancelled a bunch of the shows they opened for ac/dc cause I had tickets in edmonton and ac/dc rocked but it would have been better with slash opening.  However the 95 snakepit album is shit and i hope didn't want it.

    Beggars-and-Hangers-on

    I hate everybody but you

    back and Forth again

These 3 songs are the only reason i don't that cd in the trash cause the rest of the get the same pure shit rating as silkworms

  12. When they tried to charge axl for inciting a riot it wasn't really about him jumping in the crowd to kick the guys ass it was more for him saying that "thanks to lameass security i'm going home" and walking off the stage in the middle of playing rocket quenn.

  13. Had GNR been ready Dizzy would have been in the band for AFD.  In the video trilogy axl talked about how having a keyboard player was always an idea and they knew Dizzy at this time.  The went with more rocking stuff for appetite cause of money, time, more controversial=publicity.  SCOM was the last song to make AFD.  They already had songs like Don't Cry, Back Off Bitch, Bad Obsession and the work in progress November Rain.  Axl said in one of those videos most likely the one for NR that he wasn't done writing it and didn't anyone else to help finish it so he left for the next album.  Of all the songs where Dizzy is needed they are on UYI.  Dizzy was always GNR#6 even if they once called west arkeen that.  Yeah Dizzy and Tommy took some shots at they old guys but remember that it was just has much the old guys fault for quiting and making us all wait 10 years as much as it was axl's fault.  The old guys have to expect to take some shots in the press.

  14. I have a live version of it in a club when they played one in a million, patience and duff's cornchucker the only time i've ever heard this song.  One in a million was not played a lot live and I don't think it will ever be played again even if the originals were together.  I had heard that it was going to removed from future releases of GNR lies but i'm not sure if this ever happened?

  15. Overall I think the new stuff has been worth the wait.  My favorite new one is the blues which is only topped by my very best guns songs like estranged, YCBM, nightrain etc.  Madagascar is also good but i not sure how the quotes in the middle tie to the rest of the song.  Chinese Democracy is also a good song and i'm one the ones who loves Rhiad.  I'll admit i was worried when I first heard oh my god but these other four have blown it away.  The only way you could say the new stuff is disappointing is if the only song you've heard is silkworms, which is complete shit.

  16. This was not good publicity. I can not believe people who say that canceling the show was a PR stunt even though it worked. The show got cancelled there were a small number of people when compared to the amount going to the show who decided to break shit. This did make the news and was good press.  But what if they had opened the doors at 6:30 like scheduled and cancelled at 7:45 with over 10000 people in the building it would have got destroyed. Instead of a few thousand dollars worth of damage this could have been millions and the resulting lawsuits which Axl doesn't need more of could not be considered a good thing. This was supposed to be the beginning of Round 2 Axl has been working on new songs and getting a new band together in anticipation of that 1st show, this is not what he wanted to happen.
