What a jerk...
Grow up idiot!
Anyway, i look forward to the updates. have a great show everyone
LOL, I know! he thinks it's some kind of retaliatory act or retribution or something, and seems to be constantly threatening people that he will ignore them. (does anyone seriously care if that dumbass puts them on ignore? ) he's got 13 people on his ignore? seriously? I don't have a single person on mine. what a baby!!!! :rofl-lol:
If you ignore everyone that posts even the smallest of criticism of this band you will end up talking to yourself on here. Your intolerance to even the slightest word against the band and ensuing aggression to whoever posts it comes across as being frankly weird and obsessive. If you think you are somehow helping the band by posting like this then all I can say is that with friends like that who needs enemies.
In short, lighten up and stop acting like you are being paid to refute and smack down anyone that has a view that is different to your own. You can be a fan without coming across like a bully whose attitude is toxic to discussion on this "discussion forum". There is no need to jump down other posters throats with your tough guy act. It won't get you a mod position either, not in a million years.
It may not be your intention, but that is how the majority of your posts come across.
So why not chill out a bit eh?
very well put.

Like I said. It's always the haters and the people who never go to shows that whine about the setlist.
not true. I complain about the setlist, and I've seen the band more times than the number of years in your age - starting with my first show in 1992. Personally, i'm getting a bit bored with this setlist that's been essentially unchanged since 2001. Do I go to all the shows? no, but on the other hand I have been to many and I follow every show, and as a fan since the late 1980s I have every right to be bored. It might be different for some of the folks that just started listening in 2010, but I don't bitch at them for being noobs to the band.

I could have told you that setlist yesterday

I'd say don't buy it if you are going on the 1st mate, you can always watch it later, and i agree people who bitch and whine about everything, it's 3 quid for a 3 hour show, just losers
really? if someone said they didn't want to pay $5 to watch a movie for the 100th time, would you say the same thing? i think it's fair for one to say they are not going to buy the pay per view because you're bored with the setlist.
-
I'm from the US/Canada and I've heard of Massive Attack... i can't believe that anyone who is into music hasn't heard of them.
-
I've bought all of the previous streams, but I think I'm gonna sit this one out. I'm getting terribly bored with this setlist that they've been playing for over a decade.
-
-
What? You're comparing apples and oranges. Judging whether it's right or not to be late and for others to be frustrated by lateness is not the same as what you were doing the other day.
Ali
no i'm not. you and the other **I am a stupid cupcake;Just Ignore my post**s were saying that the boring, decade-old setlist should only matter to the people, and as long as they enjoyed it, that is all that mattered. now we have people at the show complaining about the wait, and the **I am a stupid cupcake;Just Ignore my post**s are calling them fucking drunk idiots who need to relax and realize it's GNR. same fucking thing.
-
for those of you insulting the Dublin audience for complaining about the band's lateness: I thought we weren't allowed to have opinions about shows we're not attending in person. doublefuckingstandards.
Not the same thing as judging a show's quality by a setlist.
Ali
Isn't the setlist kinda the most fundemental thing that you can judge a show by?
pay no attention to that man behind the curtain... he's a fucking idiot.

Ali
LOL, so you make the subjective decision based on your own personal opinion?

does anyone else think soulmonster needs to find something better to do with his time than argue with the entire board endlessly and all day long? he argues like a 5 year old. it seems he does nothing all day except cupcake these forums, and he has the maturity of a preschooler, and yet he claims to have a PhD. :rofl-lol: :rofl-lol:
-
it's clearly his leg, you can see the shorts in both photos
-
LOL, Best Buy unloaded all of their copies to Dollar Tree, who are in turn trying to unload them for $1 :rofl-lol:

^^that's stupid, every performer knows that the entire show is going to end up on the internet the next day. they also know that there are fans following live updates from the concert. they know there is an audience outside the venue.
the internet is relatively new, but written concert reviews have a long history. certinaly, performers know written reviews will be published, right? (recall Axl thanking Loder for one review?) So, concerts are in fact INTENDED (your caps, not mine) for outside audiences. even more so now with the internet.
-
I utterly disagree. that's like saying football games are only for the ticket holders.
-
If you're not at the show, you're not a part of the show. The shows are played for those in attendance.
Ali
LOL, so when I watch a sporting event on TV, or even read about it in the paper, I can't have an opinion about it? that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard!!!! Stop swinging on Axl's nutsack. Anyone who is following these shows has the right to an opinion, whether they attended in person or via the internet. This is 2012, get with the times dude.
-
Great pictures in there.
I'm getting tired of the setlist as well. I understand that Russia never had the chance to hear these songs but it's time to move forward and
start to include new material.
I saw GN'R 7 times in the past years, last time was last year in Hamilton and it wasn't a bad show but it was almost the same as the last time they went there.
exactly this. i've seen them a similar number of times, and also paid to watch all of the streams that were available. it has been essentially the same show for the last decade or so. it's getting very old.
and I don't agree AT ALL with the folks who say "you can't complain if you weren't at the show." that may have been a valid statement in 1992, but it doens't apply in the internet age. it's different these days, as we get live updates from the show and are watching videos of the show within hours. even though we aren't physically at the show, we are still part of it and I think we have every right to have an opinion about the setlist!!!

i don't get why jarmo is always travelling and hanging around with these dudes. what is his role? does the band realize that there are only about 5 active members on his silly forums??? (probably not.) i don't understand why that d-bag is treated like a band member... i guess this just demonstrates how Axl likes to surround himself with yes men.
Has the GNR name been too much for Axl to carry on his own?

Axl should have let GNR die when Slash left. All he has done is ruin the legacy and turn the band into a giant joke. literally everyone I talk to about GNR has a negative opinion and thinks Axl is a silly ass. I think he would have a TON more support from the public if he just called it "Axl Rose..."
...that, and releasing new music. seriously, this band is a silly fucking travelling jukebox. i think it's time to settle down into Las Vegas and just play the show nightly there. Axl already has Elvis' figure, may as well have the silly Vegas act too.
seems to me that most of the current GNR members think the band is a joke, too.
