  1. *Korn Party

    *Eddie Trunk

    *leaks

*warm up show announcement in NY- then the scramble to get tix/flight

    *NY 12th & 14th-

    * When the lights were flashing and waiting for the first moment to see AXL! UN-believeable!!

I will never forget that moment! The rise from the dead.

*Us Tour- Chicago,..... Milw, ;( ......and MN. trips

Axl gave me a fun, and WILD year! Thanks for that!

The memories I have are mine forever.

  2. More fuel to keep this mystery burning....Isn't this getting old and tired? If CD comes out great! go buy it when it does! In the meantime, go see a concert in your area if you need the fix.

Otherwise, we have been to this well many times before and SHOULD know how this will play out.

  3. I am just waking up after driving to chicago when I live in milwaukee and all i got to say is THANK THE FUCKING GOD I went to the chicago show!

I have to say that I do believe that he is sick, he blew his nose about a hundred times last night!

This sucks so bad and I may never recover from my broken heart.

  4. Am I right or am i wrong? Just saw GnR in Cleveland last night.

In my opinion there is no need for Hammer-Ons in any GnR song. Especially Nightrain. It's just fucking stupid and silly.

YOUR wrong, stupid and silly! And incredibly rude. BBF is so sincere, sweet and patient. Without him what kind of contact would any of us have with the band?

Come on. This is trivial and not even worth the keystroke here.

  5. So basically....if we read between the lines as you imply we should. Axl and gang were threatened by these 2 faceless fuck marshalls, of riots and the like and a repeat nightmare of the past? So this was the path of least resistance? To cancel?

Makes sense. I don't blame them. I see.

  6. well its better than silence :)

HTGTH is good but i find it hard to get used to and navigate, the constant bitching is making both forums look bad ;)

funny he didn't comment on any of the release date bashing

and the harely davidson add directly

I feel the same about HTGTH forum, it is not as nice on the eyes when you are staring at it hours on end. I like the Neon here. I am a product of the 80's though, could explain why i am here in the first place.

I think it is awesome that they decided to give another "press release" to the die hards who frequent any of the forums. So they picked HTGTH, who cares, it isn't like it didn't get here in a nano-second.

  7. The negativity stems from being a GnR fan!

There has been years of waiting and promises and there are a lot of people who WANT to believe what GnR has to say and hope that it is truth. As that youtube shows, we forget when we are all hopefull and excited about tuesdays and concert dates, new footage, that they still are GnR! The band you have a love hate relationship with.

It is the nature of the beast as I see it. Expect nothing and you won't be dissapointed! Then they will blow you away with the performance, a surprise acoustic set maybe even CD??

That is why GnR fans are so loyal and Angry at the same time.

  8. What a deep and poetic analysis. That was awesome.

I dunno what the fuck is wrong with some of you. Making fun of a guy you don't even know just because of the way he looks and speaks? Quit being douchebags and grow up.

Come on, don't freak. I thought the article was awesome too. I read the whole thing first, this shortened version and putting the guy on webcast DID take something away from it. People who are ripping on getting the lyrics messed up with patience don't get that the guy WASN"T trying to quote the song word for word at that bit in the article.

I will get to posting it, i think it was a great read too. Unless someone gets to it first.

  9. I just got handed this original "essay" this morning. I will work on posting it. It is way better in full then this abbreviated version. Hearing the song while reading the article (as the article suggests) makes you hear it a different way after all this time.

The guy on the webcast is a tool.....ruins what the original guy was trying to convey. Makes it totally cheesy.

Ok, I take it back, the guy on the webcast IS the guy who wrote the original article....it is better though still in it's entirity. It is in Paste magazine.

  10. What no one here has EVER said something that they ment one day then (in this case) YEARS later do something quite contrary? It is like people wait for Axl to say something just to break it all apart, literally, and then pull up some sort of old source to say "see told you so" WHATEVER!!! OOOHH good one! You just burned him and stuck it to him with a source!

That is what is so great about having a mind of your own. To change it whenever the fuck you feel like it!

I remember the "bury AFD" comment, (awesome interview!) He probably was so sick of playing it at that time! He would be the one to tire of it first i would imagine, not us. He probably had all these ideas for the future on which direction he wanted to go with it and the music/band. It is the people, fans, and critics that don't allow others to change their minds. You see someone one way and it is hard to adapt to the change. Human nature. Things either panned out for him in his mind or didn't ....who knows??

I don't know about you guys but I would be bummed if they didn't play some of the classics. Imagine a concert with no Jungle....PC?

So NO! I don't want him to bury Appetite....not then and not ever!

  11. Great point! Can't we all just get along? *group hug*

It gets a little old after a while with the same threads, and you think to yourself after a 1/2 hour of reading...."I can never get that time back and I know nothing more than i did 1/2 hour ago"

  12. Does anyone else think that, GnR fans are like a metaphor for an abused pet.....so much back and forth promising....waiting....will he show up? Will CD actually come out when he says? (this year?)

Then when things are going well (Euro Tour) there is so much love and optimism around here, and then when there is the silence (like now) we can't help but think "is this the calm before the storm?" or is this another leg of silence and being dissapointed. The negativity around the forum is just human nature's defense mechanism! No one wants to get screwed! We all are at the door waiting for the "treat" and we hear Axl's footsteps but is Axl going to turn the doorknob or what?!

So my point; if this doesn't pan out this time, i think there will be some runaways this time around.

The answer? I am sure is just days away......

  13. T.W.A.T. when you heard about the Stones,Zep,Aerosmith etc. etc. etc. going on tour and you just went!

    No questions asked.

The fact that a tour was coming your way was appreciated and celebrated, simply for the fact that it was happening!

No worries about singles or release dates..or videos.

You scored your spot on the sidewalk, sometimes camped out for a few days and IF you were lucky you scored tickets!

ahhhh...the stone ages, life was so simple then!

I seem to remember a time sleeping outside of Sears doors for 2 days for the UYI tour 91' in Wisconsin's early spring, frickin freezin!!! Those were the good old days.....my tix weren't even that great! You pay a emotional price to get them and the concert sounds even sweeter when the day finally comes. LOVE IT! You are right it was simpler then.

  14. I don't think the bandana would look right with his current braids. With the 2002 braids, the bandana didn't look as good either because it was too puffy. The bandana's purpose was to hold back loose hair which is irrelevent now.

As much as i loved the bandana, i think it served him well and he has moved on. And I am getting over it.
