  1. wasnt everybody pissed that gnr hasnt changed their setlist that much since 2001, that it was time to stop playing the afd songs?

well, if a reunion happens be prepared for more years of that same, tired setlist....

but maybe salsh could stand on the piano while playing the solo

    #INTEGRITY

cant wait to hear the new version of the godfather theme

maybe this time it will be longer

Well, nothing would prevent them from playing VR and CD2 songs. Too good to be true though.

  2. Problem is releasing records is almost a futile enterprise. Especially new material. Old music sells more than new. People want a iPod or phone with the history of music on it.

So the label aren't that bothered.

So Axl would be right to hold on to make what he thinks is right artistic statement.

In one hand he doesn't release more of the material they've recorded but still go out and tour playing the hits with the new band. What's the artistic statement here?

A proper artistic statement would be to suck it up and tour with the people who actually wrote most of the songs or release the material written with the folks in this current incarnation of the band.

Don't get me wrong. I think he's doing just right playing the hits with the new band. The problem is to refuse to actually release material recorded with them; and if it is because there is no money to be made. There is no artistic integrity here. Don't tell me "but CD has been released". We are still talking about "the band" which has released a single studio album since 1993. It's 2014.

It's like if you retire but continued to randomly stop by the office, giving your "new teammates" instructions they had to follow but blocked them to get key parts of their work done. Could he just be (even if subconsciously) afraid that BBF, Ashba and others will have 1 second of actual mainstream fame and leave him?

tl;dr Axl Rose seems to be a living insecure contradiction.

  3. It looks like Axl is wearing the same exact outfit at each show.

That seems a little weird. I can see maybe busting out that same jacket and hat if he's going for a signature look or something. But why would you wear the same pants and t-shirt at every show?

Maybe they are filming each show and Axl/Beta want him to look the same so at the end of the tour they can pick out all the highlights and package it as a live performance dvd?

  4. Seems he finished Jungle off well.

Where? That ending was fucking brutal, especially his attempt to run and sing at the same time which brings back VMA flashbacks.

Axl doesn't sound like a gifted or pro singer in this short clip at all. The age of "run and sing" is over. I feel sorry for the guy. Actually, I've been thinking about it lately. Sorry as a song fits like a glove if you think about it as a message from a concerned fan to him. :/
