Seriously, everyone i spoke to about the concert said the same thing, the crowd was lame. My brother was on crutches for sunday, he stayed at the back of the gold pit, then afterwards thought to himself... why the fuck didnt i just go to the front. nothing was happening. He coulda been on the fuckn fence.

And John, i've been waiting just as long as you to see them, but half the reason was because i thought it would be the most outa control concert ever. (though from what we've seen in recent years it was obviously not going to be that)

For anyone who thought that the crowd at GNR was "going off", did you guys go to Velvet Revolver? Now there was a crowd that was going off, major crowd surges, major collapses, chick next to me passing out (not cause she was standing in the same spot & bored). It was Nutz.

Anyway just realised i gtg.... might elaborate more in the future.

I am the only one who thought the crowd totally ruined the show!

I was in Silver Floor for sat night, and no one was even nodding their heads. There was like 1 guy next to me who was and i had a chat to him about how lame the crowd was and he totally agreed. Even up in the gold section there wasn't much action. fuckn ruined my night. I had tickets for Sunday Gold Floor that i didnt even use, mainly because i was fucked from 2 games of rugby on the weekend and had to work early in the morning.. but i just had no desire to sit (stand) through it all again. especially being so late.

So, the sound was pretty rubbish. Couldn't really here Axl. His voice isn't that great anymore... Sad to say it but its true.

I spoke to a mate today who was there and he said that the security were making a big deal about anyone acting badly.. saying that anyone crowd surfing or anything would be kicked out. this was when he was entering the Superdome. I guess that may explain some of the lack of action in the crowd. But come on. Everyone around me was just standing there... people had their arms crossed. WTF, the guy next to me started passing out and had to get thrown to the security. I guess thats what happens when you stand still for 5 hours Lol

Anyway all in all i was totally disappointed, the crowd sucked balls... i woulda walked off if i were Axl

Well, here's how i'm looking at things.

I want to be at the venue no later than 7AM - i'm doing anything I possibly can to be on the fence. For that reason, i'm wondering if people would be interested in meeting up either the night before, or after the show instead? Pre-show drinks are cooler, but i'm sure there are plenty of GA people who would rather line up early and get a good spot in the pit.

Please post if you're interested in coming, or if you have some suggestions that are better than mine (no doubt some people will).

$170 gold seating....to see Gn'R songs played by a bunch of guys who didn't even write them mostly???? Get fucked Axl it's a rip off. Maximum I'd pay for this band if they choose to call themselves Gn'R and play so many Gn'R songs...not more than $50. I'm not paying $170 to go see a mostly instrumental cover band fuck it. Bring back Guns N' Roses and I'll pay that much money.

Ummmm... Pete Murray has never played big day out lol.... oh well if you didn't like it thats fine by me. But they have the best bands and the best atmosphere of any festival in Aus. imo

First lineup announcement is on JJJ tomorrow morning. If GN'R were playing, they wouldn't announce it until the 2nd lineup announcement anyway....

Don't see why, the headliner is always in the first announcement.

In the hot or not column they said BDO is gonna be hot, we're hearing Gunners, Foo Fighters, Killers, Lily Alen."

So yeah... there is a small amount of buzz... but i still think its a very long shot. Unless Bach actually got the summer right haha, then its a medium lenght shot lol.

We shall know on Oct 4th anyway, first announcement.

Yeah i always thought of them doing their own shows, up until what Bach said. When bands say summer, or early in the year it usually points towards bdo.

Anywho looking at the schedule winter seems more likely, if anything.

Fact * Sabastian Bach said that GNR would be here in the Summer ie dec,jan,feb

Fact * Big Day Out always starts around the 20th of Jan

Fact * The latest gig to be announced is on the 16th of Jan in CA (as far as i know)

Fact * There was alot of talk about the RHCP headlining big day out thoughout the year, but then that was all deminished because they are touring in April now.

Fact * There are strong rumours, some practically confirmed for Tool, Muse, The Who, The Strokes, Daft Punk etc etc, but no mention whatsoever of GNR

So, with all this information, it seems possible, though still not likely. The fact that there has been no stirs about gnr at all dont help. But i guess there is always a slight chance. They would fuckn own that stage. In fact it's probably too small a stage lol.

Anyway this was all just wishful thinking and pondering on my part....

Powerman 5000 (Hope it isn't them but they would be available)

It could've been that News about GNR's doing some what of a Tour, but I think it was the fact that he had a craving for tasty n bits but only found the security guard closest to him that got the argument started and Axl took a bite out of crime.

No one doubts that GNR's catalog stopped selling after the demise of other members in the last years.

Not many people here would really know about the tour. But i guess word is spreading... anywho... pretty cool.

A local music shop near me has top 10 charts in a the local paper.... and i was shocked a few weeks ago to see 'Guns N' Roses'... i had a look and Use Your Illusion II was the number 5 top selling dvd in the store..

I just looked at todays paper and notice it has climbed to number 2!!!

I guess Greatest Hits did it's job recruiting new fans ay.
