I've been around since the first HTGTH version. Used to download a lot of demos like Crash Diet and others from a website called GNRWarehouse. That was like 1998. :duff:

GNRMP3Warehouse - I think the owner was Seth?? I remember downloading the HOB show there and maybe even OMG when it first dropped. And some custom KOHD music video. Those were the days…

The early demo will still be valuable, it would be more like hearing a YCBM demo from the 80s. Obviously not the official release, but played by an arguably better band and probably different enough to be interesting on its own.

I hope if a CD box set ever gets released, all the early versions of these NITL singles will still be included.

Yeah completely agree. I just remember back in 2014, I would have chewed my arm off to prevent DJ from replacing anyone’s parts on a future release. Even today that holds true. But once the unheard song hits the internet with Slash at the helm, an early demo loses a little bit if it’s shine. Even if it’s Bucket on leads, would love to hear it, but not chewing my arm off to get it at that point.

It will still have massive value. There are a lot of people who would die to hear the finck bucket version

Losing value by the minute. once it’s released it would be reduced to the value of hearing another demo of WTTJ from the 80s. Very cool, maybe even mystical depending on the circumstances of the recording, but not the official release…

if the general demo exists in the wild, it has value, but it should be traded out today before it becomes worthless

Seems like an oversight, I mean who the fuck has ever heard of this app before? It seems like they simply forgot to pull it from that one, because it's so low profile unlike Apple music, Spotify etc. And the fact it's STILL up means 1) the band either thinks it's kinda cool and let it stay until friday when it's out 2) or Touchtunes is a really small company that starts work monday morning and will remove it in a few hours lol.

Either way it will be released soon now with quality leaks floating out there and news articles.

I’ve been using TouchTunes at bars all over the US for years. They’ve been around a while, generally reliable service, and from what I’ve read they have a decent 40/40/20 revenue share between themselves, artist, and venue on their paid streams. It’s basically the modern day jukebox but not limited to physical media stored in the unit since it’s network enabled. I hope this gaffe doesn’t hurt the company - I would guess they acted in good faith when they received the file from GNR/UMGs aggregator. They probably don’t have a good process to acknowledge/walk back a change - so the originally 8/11 date wasn’t “overwritten” with the new release date, whatever that may be.

You're like the 5th person from 2003-2005 to log on here. It's so cool to see old fans like this coming back because this fucking band is FINALLY becoming active and releasing decent singles again (even if it is in a clusterfuck fashion like this)

Same here! I joined here a couple years after HTGTH, I think specifically right around the time the 2006 leaks were happening and the Mysterion Hammerstein presales were going down.

I took the family to Waffle House just to play this track haha. I searched for it and the only thing popping up is Civil War and it won’t generate any other songs for some reason…anyone else having this issue, if so, please let me know! I’m trying to play it before I leave here.

They may not have their system connected to the internet, so only able to play what is stored locally.

I'm listening to the Ritz through Spotify since I'm still waiting on delivery of the super deluxe. I'm really liking the Ritz. It brings me back when I was trying to listen to the show that night in the kitchen. We had a 13 inch black and white TV that also had a radio. The DJ at 102.7 WNEW kept talking over the performance at the Ritz. I heard snippets of the show but not the full performance. This is amazing!!!

For bands that want to push premium prices for physical mediums, would be a really nice move to ship those products first before the digital release is available. I feel like I paid a $750 premium for both the super deluxe and deluxe sets and my reward is a penalty that I have to listen to the streaming version because they didn’t ship ahead or had production delays…

  7. Well in fairness, the emails from TM last week did not specify July 27 of what year, and at this pace could be 2021...

I’ve been to 40+ shows and will see them frequently next time they tour, but today I simply want my refund. I am happy to repurchase a ticket closer to the next tour dates and even pay a premium if ticket availability is scarce.

Refunding money for services not delivered should not be this difficult.
