  1. Security has a job and they did their job by taking a fan who does not have access to the stage off....the venue's security takes him out of the building. They can't wait to find out if the person doesn't mean any harm....by virtue of jumping on the stage this individual has proven he is not capable of controlling himself so someone else had to do it for him. Also the girl in Vancouver was invited on stage she did not rush the stage...big difference.

  2. Axl's voice sounds terrific. This is the strongest he has sounded on the CD songs....escpecially TIL. He also seems to have taken away the backing vocal tracks finally. I wonder if he is now more comfortable than he was before. I feel he must have been getting vocal coaching to improve himself live. Haven't seen any footage of sorry...has he recently taken away the backing vocal track to this song as well?

  3. Axl's flight would have touched down by now too

They haven't had a show for a few days now, what is with the late plane rides?

If there is even a hint of trouble when he does this it creates a situation where they don't go on until 1-2 am, or even worse depending on what happens.

It seems awfully risky to have an arena full of people waiting for you knowing in order for you to make it in time everything has to fall into place exactly.

Just an observation, but it seems like it is just asking for trouble one of these days as there is no time built in for anything to go wrong even slightly.

this is what happened in vancouver 2002......organizers panicked.....then people rioted

  4. I know for a fact GNR have been booked to play Vancouver twice since the riot. Unfortunately GnR have backed out of both tours they had planned. Both times they were to play at the Pacific Coliseum. They also would have played there this past Canadian tour if it wasn't for the Olympic preperations at the Coliseum as the building is now being used for figure skating and some short track speed skating. They probably would never be allowed at GM Place but the Coliseum holds 16000 so it would be big enough for any show they could put on.

  5. i personally believe that the demo of Twta was from back then. It has a very 'TSI' sound to it. It also is the only one with backing vocals which may be from the line up back then....just a hunch.....but the album has probably been tweeked many times to cater to new talents and different musicians.

The first time I listened to twat I said that had to be slash on there

Good to know i'm not the only one to think that...i do believe that is the old line up (or older than present day line up). I think all the demo's are quite old and the newer stuff that has been recorded is very well protected. If we had demos of anything i would think Madagascar or the blues would be floating around as they are obviously not guarded secrets. But its obvious that these few songs that have leaked are the only ones and will sound different on the album if they are on there.

  6. These shows he is doing in Europe is not a true tour....Stop calling it a tour! They are for the most part festival appearances. These festivals would be there whether Axl shows up or not. These appearances are not because of anything GNR have spearheaded.

The illusions tour was also premature not out of desire but out of booking too early. Axl has commented about that and stated even though the albums were not done they would have lost possibly millions of dollars because the tour machine had started to roll thinking that the album would have been out by then.....in GNR style it was late. They were forced to tour.

Axl has already toured without new material and it was not a success. We've seen this before. If it wasn't successful before why would it be a success now. I actually think it would be a worse situation to try and tour without new material a second time. The reason why bands like Van Halen, Motley Crue, Metallica, Rolling Stones have Successful tours isn't the new music they may or may not have released....its because people relate to the members of the band. For the most part the music is played by people that have been together for many years and there is a loyalty to that. That is partly why the 2002 tour was not a success.....no loyalty to anyone but Axl. If that was the full illusions line up....would have been a greater success.

  7. Google the news headline "New Guns N' Roses' Album Out Next Month" and you'll get several news articles all worded basically the same as the Clear Channel ones and they are based on Slash's prediction back in early Feb. of the album coming out in March. So i'm guessing that these are all dated articles based from the same time period of early Febuary and therefore are probably inaccurate.

  8. Axl did not want to tour before UYI were out. He had no choice the album was not completed but the tour was booked and they would have lost a ton of cash if they pulled out so they went ahead. Having said that i don't consider the european dates a GNR tour. Its is a lot of festivals that would be there for the most part whether GNR showed up or not. I would think of these appearances as the warm up gigs and to get the media talking again. They should release the album while they are doing these gigs....late June early July. They would have had positive reports from the road and had time to work all the kinks out of their live performances and be primed for a real tour mid august through oct. in North America. By then the first single is in heavy rotation and the album has been out long enough for people to buy and sing along at the shows.
