  1. Keep it on topic guys and save the insults and whatnot for PMs or Email or something like that. We don't need it here.

Your right. Matt13 is in a crucial moment of his therapy. Don't want to rush him back to reality to quickly. His ego and feelings are too tender for the harsh truth that outside of these forums he only has his stuffed Bunky to love.

Back on topic. GNR old and new rock.

  2. I'm not comparing GNR to MC and suggesting MC is at all as good as GNR. My point is that MC went out and put themselves on the road and had success doing it. Something GNR has not done since '93. Its time for that to change. They have the potential but that means nothing until they do something with their talents...until then we will only have our memories of years gone past.

Excellent post. Nice to see someone other than myself, Alan Niveen and a few others who actually GET IT!

The problem with the new outfit is that when it comes to performing live they will have to play at least 80-90 percent of the stuff from the glorious back catalogue and it's plain to see for those with a brain that this new batch of muso's will never, ever be able to play with the heart and integrity of the originals who created these songs in the first place. There is a reason why Led Zep never replaced their drummer. Some legacies are best left alone. rock1

No, if you, bunky, or any other of your idiot army ever got it, you wouldn't be on a fan forum putting down the real fans of GNR and GNR themselves. Again, refer to "I don't like Eminiem, I'm not going to waste my time on an Eminem forum bitching about him".

I call retards like you, Niveen and the rest of the sacks of shit that come here and bitch, bitch, bitch LIFELESS pricks. I mean, really, sit back and analize the situation. Don't you have better things to do, like make dorky little avatars with a picture of you with... is that the Retarded Championship belt of the world? If you don't like the new band so much, why the fuck do you waste so much time on this forum?

Reason: (this goes for Niveen and the rest of the Slash ball lickers/Axl haters) You have no real life of your own, so to make yourself feel better and to inflate what little bit of egos you might have, you go on an internet fan site and try to throw some 'weight' around... insulting the band the site is dedicated to and their fans. Only because in the real world, you're laughed at and will always work as a line cook or trash man. So, feel proud you get the chance to spar a little bit with some intelligent people like me on mommy's computer in your little fantasy world of 'being somebody' online becuase in real life, you're a worthless piece of shit:) I get nothing but enjoyment out of calling out idiots like yourself on here... you're all a dime-a-dozen.

Let me guess, next you're going to challenge me to a fight or are going to threaten to 'kick my ass'.

    Wouldn't that be cute

Yup, white trash... that's all you are. You're picture proves it, bunky. I suggest you join the military and make something of your life before you find yourself homeless in a ditch when mommy and daddy are long gone, along with your internet connection.

Boy, wouldn't that be the day.

You know what's funny about your posts...you actually believe people feel upset after reading them. You actually believe you sound intelligent. Reality check Matt13....we feel sad for you. Its good that mental hospitals in Baltimore have the internet but its sad that their patients are so easily identified. For some one who has close to 1 post a day since they joined it sounds as though it is you that is intervenisly addicted to the internet and it is you who will have no life when your realesed from what ever mental institution your admitted to. Until you are released enjoy your stay and we are all hoping you have speedy recovery. Quick tip...If a doctor puts you in a round room and tells you to piss in a corner ....don't feel to confused its a test....there aren't any corners. So don't feel ashamed go ahead hug your Bunky clown tight and piss in your pants like the obvious dysfunctional baby you are. :P

  3. "You said you'd seen "MC... old and new" and they "never skipped a beat"...they skipped a few of em in 1999." ......Are you a politician or is ignoring the truth a hobby......i've stated that compared to the mid 80's they have not skipped a beat. If you saw them back in the hey day ('99 is not the hey day) and you saw them last year you would have enjoyed both shows equally as well. The numbers and reviews do not lie and your denials of their success is now getting a bit pathetic.

"Axl got plastic surgery.... Vince Neil starred in a TV show about his plastic surgery... which one has sold out his Rock N Roll roots? Axl's fashion vs. Vince's willingness to whore himself out to reality TV is also hardly comparable."....The only difference is that Axl hasn't whored himself and Vince has. Neither person's approach to plastic surgery is rock n roll.

"No matter how many shows you've seen, the irrefutable fact is that Motley is not where they used to be. Even if the current tour is an improvement, in one fan's eyes, they can't erase the past 10 years of bad music, ruined image and subpar shows."....At least i'm speaking from experience and not pure speculation. Just because the band sucked for ten years does not erase the reality that they got their act together for a great rock show and extremely successful tour. Just because you saw one bad show in one fans eyes as you say....does not erase the fact that they had a huge successful tour. Compare that to what GNR has done in the past 15 years. They haven't had a successful tour and unfortunatley the majority of the press for the 2002 tour was negative from media and many fans alike. It was not deserved as we can agree that the in the tour they sounded great. But peoples impression of Axl and GNR right now is not favarable. We and the press are hopeful there is great things to come but it is not as positive as we would like.

  4. I have seen Motlry Crue both old and New and I've seen GNR both old and new....I've also seen hundreds of shows of all sorts as i work in the concert industry. Motley Crue were and still are rock N roll badasses.....they have not skipped a beat in the kick ass department. They may even be right back to where they were in the mid 80's if you saw the backstage atmosphere that i saw....This is not to say MC is a better band musically which is obvious they aren't. This isn't to say they sound better live cuz they don't. But the showmanship and antics and the no BS straight ahead rock of their show is where it should be and would be tough to beat. Their doing something right and the fans are eating it up and loving it. GNR unfortunatley did not do the same in 2002.....the numbers don't lie. MC showing up at their shows and giving the fans what they paid to see helps as well. I'm hoping Axl has learned a lesson from 2002 and will return to the stage and do what he is capable of doing and kickass as he has done before and bury MC live..... rock3rock3

Hands down, the worst concert I have ever been to was in 1999, I think. It was right after the Generation Swine album came out. Vince literally couldn't go two songs without taking a breather. He was off pitch, in clothes that were way too small for him. The band was ok, but Vince sucked donkey. I was Soooooooooooo disappointed. So was my wife, who saw them in their heyday and liked them. So, to say that they "have not skipped a beat" means either you don't know what you're talking about or you were not around to see them in those years.

If you're talking about keeping up a rebellious, rock 'n' roll image, Vince Neil was on the Surreal Life and had a show about all of the plastic surgery he did. Real rock n roll rebellion there.

Stop comparing the two. Motley had some good rock tunes, but they're not as deep, diverse, true to rock n roll, or good as GnR

I never did compare MC to 'generation swine era' i said mid '80s....Not once did i say they were better than GNR....in fact i said the opposite. Vince mumbled through most of the lyrics from what i saw and heard but he was their, put on a show and people were thrilled to see the show....the show as in the whole package rocked. I did not hear one negative response except that it was too hot in the building as they they had continuous flames from their stage.

"If you're talking about keeping up a rebellious, rock 'n' roll image, Vince Neil was on the Surreal Life and had a show about all of the plastic surgery he did. Real rock n roll rebellion there." And Axl looks real rebellious in corn rows, botox and an over sized sports jerseys.

The numbers don't lie MC had a a great year at the box office. and to suggest that i..."don't know what you're talking about or you were not around to see them in those years." is plain retarded  . I have seen more shows both as a spectator and as part of my job. than you will ever see. Not bragging its just the reality of my situation. For the record GNR 2002 was the finest show that i have witnessed. Axl sounds great the band sounded great....i was there to witness both the riot in Vancouver and the show in Tacoma so yeah i know of what i speak. Calling it as i see it and GNR are as real a they come.

  6. o, how AFD fans would kill themselves to hear something like this :book: lol. i like the david bowie idea though.

hell, why not even mick jagger too rock1 ?????

Not such a stretch....he played in the Freddie Mercury concert with Elton and at the MTV video awards doing the NR song. I haven't killed myself and enjoyed the performances. I've been around GNR from day one.
