No, they have been doing mad-max themed intro videos for the 2nd leg of the NA tour. They post these pictures on their social media with the corresponding Liscense Plates for each city.
the litho should leak a couple hours before show time

I completely agree with you, but in all actuality Hillary was and is the exact same thing. The reason she failed to win is she took for granted that people who voted for Obama would vote for her. Some did, many did actually. But many did not by either not voting or voting elsewhere be she did nothing to appeal to them.
Agreed. I almost put that in there about Hillary and the Obama vote. She simply did not have any accomplishment that she could point to and say "look what I've done for you" and having President Obama campaign for her was simply not enough. She definitely took those votes for granted -- and was relying on the fear of a Trump presidency to draw out substantial votes.

Good for Axl.
The President Elect of the free world is and should be held to a higher standard than any musician. This isn't about the past (look at Trumps past...all Trump supporters have no problem ignoring his past) so why should people be calling out Axl and saying what he can and can't say based on his past? He called out Trump for being a "whiner" and yes Axl has been accused of the same behavior. But Axl didn't campaign to be President, and Axl hasn't spent the last 18 months making promises that he can't or won't keep. Trump is an embarrassment, and in four years most of those that voted for him will come to the conclusion that they got played by a rich punk that doesn't give a two-bit shit about the Average American. Trump is not only the establishment, he is the ELITE ESTABLISHMENT --- we've now handed our government over to not just politicians, but to an elite ruling class. And they won the election by feeding the fear of the disenfranchised. I am glad that Axl has the voice and the motivation to call out Trump.

This was an amazing show. I was lucky enough to attend as well. I was in College in Santa Barbara at the time. I remember going to Warehouse Records and I was the only one there asking for the Gun's and Rose's tickets, and when they pulled them up they were $250 dollars each, I freaked the fuck out and didn't have enough money to buy or even enough credit!!!! After convincing my big brother that we HAD to go this show, I purchased two GA tickets on eBay for about $600 for both on his Credit card. First Ebay purchase. We ended up driving to Vegas (and had a third ticketless friend tag along). We drove in, with no hotel reservations, and every intention of sleeping in our car.
The show and the anticipation leading up to the show definitely ranks as one of the greatest entertainment experiences of my life. Definitely the number of unknowns going into the show played a big part. Also the lack of Axl sightings since 1993 also helped in building the mystic. But most importantly, THAT band kicked ass. From the first chords of WTTJ.....down to the final...daylight breaking and confetti raining drums of PC, the show was spot on.
I've seen them several times since (Hammerstein Shows in NYC, Hardrock 01', 06', and both residences, Sturgis) and the shows have been good to great, but nothing has every touched the HOB show.

This is, without doubt, the greatest concert I have ever been to.
While I would like to see the Axl / Slash reunion, I do not think anything could recreate the energy that went into and lead up to the HOB show. A little of that has to do with me being 15 years older.....but this concert was mind blowing on every level.
-
to me, Duff joining nu-gnr would be almost the opposite of "selling out" --- selling out at this point would be Axl getting back for a reunion tour. Duff joining / jamming with the new band is definitely more of just for the music kind of vibe.

You could hear this differently. Perhaps the interviewer was asking his people?

Not to mention the revenue being brought into the hrh. I went to one show and ate 4 times 2@ pink taco 1@ 35 martinis 1 @ luckys plus bar tab at circle bar and hotel rooms......gnr def bringing some $$$ in for the local economy.

Better on rt now, Axl sounds incredible!

Not yet, status of order still says "ready". Ordered tickets in first presale through grnd cntrl. Faq says tickets usually ship 2-3 weeks before event date. I have nov. 7th tickets.
That's the show I'm still waiting on my tickets to arrive from grnd cntrl too
Finally shipped tickets- expected date of arrival is day of show. WTF? Do they expect that only people from Vegas will go to these shows? Thumbs down for grnd cntrl.

I agree with original post in this thread.
Video is not a legit video for Better.
May be a video crew that former gnr mgt hired to build video for a future video, and then threw together with no gnr approval.....but video wreaks of poor production and lacks any genuine gnr feel.

Headed to the 11/7 show from New Orleans. (Hard rock rooms on Hotels.com 74.99 rt now (8/15) )
Balcony Seats section 304.
Will be sporting my 01/01/01 Chinese Democracy Starts Now shirt if I can find it.
Thanks Axl for putting these shows on, I blew it and missed the UCAP tour (freakin' Mardi Gras)----

I think this will help in continuing the press trend of recognizing Axl as the most authentic rock n roll frontman ever. While the intentions of these members playing is all good, it won't hold a candle to the performances that gnr just wrapped up and those are recent enough that anyone that caught that tour cant help but compare the two "versions" of the band.
The one unifying thing that the original members can do is to step down from playing. It's the integrity move. By playing they are making that night all about Axl by balantly recognizing his abscene.
-
I think the best chance of something happening at the hof is with all the members going in with the "see what happens" attitude.....I think trying to arrange something beforehand could cause some problems. However i hope the hof could accomodate a spur of the moment type thing.
-
why won't they come to New Orleans??????? short announcements, expensive flights, blah.
-
Perhaps its a politically correct way to say that the venue had a change of heart and doesn' t want to handle a show that starts late and goes long. Hoping this is just a one off cancellation.

Getting chills watching this show. So glad this is finally surfacing. The energy in the crowd that night was unreal, I have been to at least a dozen GNR shows since and nothing touches this.
