  1. Buyer beware.

Senseless rambling about when and why shows get cancelled or the band takes the stage late is simply that. Senseless.

Part of the draw of the "most dangerous band" in the world is their unpredictability. It is in the spirit of what they do.

Axl and co. are not here to provide a service. They express their music their choosen form of art and we choose to appreciate it or not. Part of that expression is when and why they take the stage or why they don't at all.

There are plenty of artists out in music today that compromise the majority of who they are to please people. We are fortunate to follow a band that makes their art or expression the priority: which is the reason we are drawn to them in the first place.

I have been burned by gnr cancellations before. I have been to shows that started on time. And I have been to shows that were "late starts".

To hold any animosity towards the band, Axl, management, promoters, venues, equipment is a complete waste of time and only reflecty poorly on someone that invest the time to hold that animosity.

  2. After the show was over Sinatra's My Way played over the speakers. Thought that was an intriguing choice. (even a little more given the todaysTwitter drama)

I was on DJ's side of the stage. A few people left during the wait....but only a few. The crowd where I was seemed to get more into the show as it went on.

On the way out I did hear "Casual fans" refer to the show as "epic" and "awesome". And the younger people in the crowd definitely were into DJ and the concert as a whole. I think the show did over deliever for fans that don't hang on every GNR move.

As far as the setlist it flowed well, as most GNR shows that I've seen by the time PC is over I'm ready to go. However, I think another song or two would have been perfect, and some of the crowd was yelling for another song. I am glad I got to hear Sorry and This I love live. Both were awesome and Sorry is definitely a enchanced experience live.

I thought Axl sounded and looked great (iv'e seen the HOB show, Hardrock Nye, Hammerstein, Hardrock Sept.) And the band sounded great.

DJ and Chris Pittman seemed to be having the most fun on stage.

Overall great experience, unique venue and surroundings.

  3. Last minute chance from Colorado area.

I am driving in from Colorado, anyone interested in carpooling? Ticket on me as my brother can no longer make the trip. Leaving Thursday and returning Saturday through Denver. I am evening willing to pick people up at the Denver Airport (about a six hour drive to Sturgis, but on my way)..... Campsite is walking distance to the venue. Hit me up if this sounds like a deal for you. If you know how to pitch a tent and mingle with bikers even better!
