As far as I know Axl refused to have Slash's material on the album and that was one of the contributing factors of Slash's departure....

That's what I've always been lead to believe anyway.....

and he said yes and asked if i could say in the camera that i gu=ive permission to use the fotage of me in the

he also said that it wont be out for about a year - IFINGLOVEVR at HTGTH

Back in the good ol days when Slash was still in GNR Axl once said (and this is just a summary...can't find the actual quote):

"Yeah I know the drugs and stuff is bad but the drugs are what makes Slash such a great guitarist so it's cool"

Maybe this is why his material isn't so impressive, I dunno. I guess, like with Robin and CD, we'll never know until "Libertad" is released!....

No point getting into yet another Axl + Robin vs Slash arguement......unless some people are really that bored!

I think some people come on here simply to whine about Guns N' Roses, and it's sad.

It's really very simple. It could not be any easier for people. Let's put this in terms so that people here can understand. Here goes:

Liking the original band = Good.

Liking the new band = Also good.

Liking both = Good.

Having your own taste = Even better.

Constantly whining about a band you hardly know and can't change = Pointless.

People drooling over bad reviews because they hate the new band = Stupid.

This isn't hard people. Here's how it is. People are here because of both bands. However, the original band did start it all, so they get more credit. Credit that is definitely deserved. Unfortunately, people cannot discuss the new band and what they like about them without having the same people come in and bash it over and over again. Threads about the original band are actually quite intelligent conversations most of the time, yet as soon as you mention Finck or even Dizzy for shit sakes, this place turns into a free for all, and really, it's pathetic, and pointless.

The fact that newer band members cannot be discussed without people sniffing blood is disgraceful. I'm beginning to think we're getting farther and farther away from intelligent conversations in here about band members we can all enjoy. They all play the same instruments, they are good at what they do, and they try hard to make music that everyone can appreciate. Yet, we're whining and moaning like children and can't even realize that the music is what brought us here in the first place.

And (I'me not trying to continue or flare up an arguement here...this will be my only post *hopefully* in this thread..I'm more the lurking type)....Axl may have not turned up for half the shows but Izzy was also a bit of an uncertainty when it came to attendence....and Slash and Duff (Steven pretty much goes without saying here aswell) passing out/performances negatively effected due to drink and drugs....it was a two way street....yes Axl was determined to gain control of the band but because he saw that the band could implode at any moment!....but tbh he could have done it a little less distastefully....well this is my view

That is all I'm saying....I hate those stupid arguements started by someone moaning about one thing or another!

It is blatantly obvious that no-one is gonna change their minds and I don't see the point in this continuing apart from giving some very bored people a little bit of excitement....

I have seen much more posts by Slash fans insulting other members than Axl fans (though there have been a fair few insults thrown about by them too)

I fully doubt those people would last as members of other forums when they show such a profound lack of respect for other members and their opinions!

Bet the band will be relieved (bar poor Bumblefoot...poor guy can scarcely catch a break amongst us!) when they hear what people are saying!!!!

It's a different one from Leeds but it definately sounds like it was from that tour...

People who saw last nights show said he sounds much different now from 02 but if that really was from the warm-up gig he doesn't really sound that different...

I sure as hell hope it is from 02....it's not too bad but........
