  1. I really want to know what to do about this.

Would Axl laugh, would he scold those that prevented my experience from being fruitful? Would he scold me?

I dont care... I live with the major regret, not Axl. Although, having him that close for the short time - felt magnificent. An idol before you... quite exciting. I know Axl doesnt like to be idolised... or so he says. Sure was neat for the 30 mins I got. The friends keep telling me to revel in that... no. I wanted to hear my favorite songs and worship this incarnation of the band. I wanted to hear Chinese D. live...

I didnt get that. Put it in my list of 1/5 things that make me want to end myself this year. And theres one more day... maybe I will.

  2. Fuck my life...

I cant even listen to GnR anymore without feeling like I missed out on the best concert experience of my life. Life's bad enough... this shit just pisses me off and sends me into a terrible mood/mode.

Wtf... since this concert and missing out on 80% of it... I just feel god-awful. THIS SUCKS!

I'm sure they will be touring again in a year or two, so it won't be that long. Utah could be a problem, so hopefully they at least come to a neighboring state. I'm sorry to hear that your first attempt didn't work out, but I'm sure the opportunity will come again.

Thats a good chunk of the problem, I dont have the opportunity to leave the state any time soon (we're talking up to 10 yrs time). The last time they were here was like '91... Yeah... chances seem good.

Again... fuck my life. Its pointless. I missed out on one of the most influential things of my life... and I fucking dont want to live it anymore. This compiled with several other occurences. The time draws near for me; as melodramtic as that sounds... it has hurt enough

  4. With what happened on the 13th, I need to work out a way to compensate for that event. Its just that I cant swing the cash, travel, etc. Im so depressed but I need a way to get another crack at this experience. Im not sure exactly how healthy this line of thinking is, but the whole ordeal has basically left me thinking about it non-stop and wanting to remedy it. Only way to do that is to replace the memory entirely. Think theyll be touring again any time soon, and Utah is pretty much never a stop for GnR; so really what kind of chances do I really have to get to see them again?

  5. I apologize for the double post but...

I CANNOT stop thinking about this. Losing this experience has made my life hell. Not only was I screwed out of this, a friend was as well (at my expense, as he was sober). I feel SO awful. They (my friends) keep telling me it's not my fault, but it is. If I had known to have alcohol and go to a rock concert could lead to people getting in trouble, even if I acted appropriately, I would not have done it. I would have gone 'sober as a judge' (as the old idiom goes). Its terrible. They missed out, as well as I. They know what it means to me, and I hope I can replace this experience by doing it differently and seeing the boys again... but... I doubt it. Im on limited income at best, and young as hell. This meant the world to me, especially as my gmas gift, it was quite a special experience being gifted this, AND getting 3 friends to go. For half the concert? Being ejected under bullshit circumstance?

This feels like whining... Im just SO upset about it. Really, its quite devastating. If only I had footage of the whole ordeal... ugh!

  6. So, I got a little too drunk. I wasnt falling over or anything, not vomiting. I was stumbling and bumped in to some guy. Well apparently during the show he shoved me into somebody else's girlfriend, which led to a complaint and subsequently me getting kicked out. This was roughly half way through the show.

To that douche, who pretty much ruined a life-long dream of mine and another friend who had to take me home post-incident, FUCK YOU!

I hope you read this, 'cause you really have caused a lot of pain over nothing substantial. Jesus fuckin' Christ at that guy! There were no fights, no hijinks at all... just got shoved while drunk and removed from the the show for it. Wow.

Think thats bad- in NJ my wife wasnt even allowed into the fucking show because she stumbled a little bit on our way into the show - we showed up about 10 min before GnR took the stage & some fat bitch security lady on a power trip said my wife appeared intoxicated & couldnt go in! she hadnt even had 1 drink & there were stumbling fools all over the place in the show ( my wife waited in the car- she insisted i go)

to the fat ugly bitch security lady- FUCK YOU!!!! :fuckyou:

Exactly. Im sorry, dude. Its ludicrous that this is the case, but it is. I had assumed at a rock concert, if one behaved well and wasnt a prick everything would be fine. As it turns out, thats no the case. If you dont like someone, just say something to security or a cop and you can have the ejected for rather trivial things. As long as there's some alcohol involved, nobody is the wiser and there's always a scapegoat reason as to why.

That really sucks, man. I feel your pain, if not a little more - because I really am sore in the neck from the shove I recieved. Luckily my buddies were mature, explained this to the cop that ejected me and DID NOT start any shit with the party that engaged in doing it. They told him it was "very fucked up" and that he had "ruined my night". The pros: avoided jail, friends were mature (as Id expect the to be), I got to see Axl and the boys for a second (although now tainted, as these tix and shirt were an X-Mas present from my ltierally dying grandmother); cons: I missed out on a major life event that I have awaited for years (as perhaps did your girl), I am sore and the whole experience is tainted. I am so depressed about it. SO DEPRESSED. I just wanted life to end last night after the whole ordeal.

  7. Basically what you are saying, it was the overreacting bitch's fault.

Well I take part in the blame as well. In fact, I felt much more to blame than anyone. I didnt get in trouble though, as I was not unruly or uncooperative. I was visually intoxicated and thus, could not be re-allowed in unfortunately. However, yes. If she had not flipped, everything would have gone just as smoothly as it was. Maybe I would bump in to one or two more people, and for 2 secs that would suck for them. 2 seconds later, the night would continue to go on and everyone would have had a great time. Instead, I feel I got cheated out of it. /sob story. I know how this sounds...

  8. Exactly BlackSabbath.

It was a possible once in a lifetime experience though. I had a few shots before the show at a friend's house, they drove me down. I apologized to the person I bumped into, they shrugged it off as if it was no big deal. I suppose they harbored some feelings they didnt quite convey to me, and did what they did. I dont feel I was ruining anyone's experience, but I guess they did. One of my friends was fully sober and claimed I had done nothing wrong. The girl I was pushed into took it very seriously though. I tried to aplogize to the officer, but obviously that wasnt enough. Ugh. At a rock show, I wouldnt call myself a "public drunk" only a person who was drinking in public, legally, amongst a crowd of others doing the same. Seems I just happened to be less lucky than many of those people.

  10. Ill be taking off in less than an hour! SHOW STARTS IN 2:10!

I cant wait, this is something Ive been waiting for going on 15 years now. SO EXCITED!

Enjoy everyone going. I hope it's a long set. Ive purposely not been reading about this tour, for suspense.

  11. Ill be heading in from SLC, UT to see em. It will be my first time ever! Ive waited so long for this! Ill be having to take a couple days off of the new job I just took and book all this shit at the last second but it's gonna be worth it.

  12. I've never been a fan of 14 Years or So Fine.

So Fine is kind of alright live, but other than that - no thanks.

What is wrong with this world!?!? So Fine is absolutely beautiful

Agreed. 14 Years and Shackler's as well. Annnddd... any other GnR song. Theyre all awesome in their own right.

  13. These songs were born on a computer and it seems they can only live on a computer. Axl tried to make sure these songs would work live but every fucking CD track he uses a backing track. They were playing stadiums with the old band and never used a backing track because the music was organic and had soul.

So I go to the concert and its like what am I paying for here? To listen to Axl and the band play over their own fucking CD? Bullshit man.

Edit: Didn't mean to imply that anyone currently in the band actually wrote any of the songs they cover off CD, AFD, UYI, etc.

    "Sorry" bout that.

If thats you in your avatar, first off you look like a goon. Secondly, youre an idiot. Its the Chinese Democracy Tour... of course they will play a CD heavy set. I cant wait to see/hear it myself. Youre just a fuckin moron.

  14. So far I have dug what I have heard of DJ on tour. I also love Crue so I enjoy what he has collaborated on with them, etc. He sure does love self-hype though. It almost comes across as narcissistic in some things he writes about himself, case in point - the description on that video. Not modest at all. The guy can play a mean guitar though.

Shut the fuck up dude!!!!! He's just having a great time and wanted to show that!!! don't be such a dick!

Im not being a dick. Thats just what I felt/thought when I read the description. Ive seen similar things in the past, I just felt like sharing it. No need to flip out. I wont say any more about it though, cause thats all I had to say.

If the band is reclusive the people complain. When they show a video of they having some fun, people still complain. I'll never understand some fans...

Gah... Im not complaining. Some people are just too fuckin thin skinned and take every goddamn thing as an insult or a personal slight. For fucks sake, its just an observation. Im not complaining, let alone about the video. I referred the the notes on the description of the video. Yeah great, DJ is having a good time, excellent! I hope the whole band is! In the vid the guy puts "Multi-plat recording artist, grammy winner", etc. in there. Thats shameless self-hype, dont care what you say. And I WASNT saying theres anything wrong with that. Now leave it alone... fuck.

  16. Yesterdays is a personal favorite. As many have said, yes its short. Its so sweet though. It packs such a wallop in the short playtime that it has. The lyrics alone merit enough appreciation, theyre terrific. Even if one applies them relatively - the words can say and mean so much to an individual.

  17. Someone here is being a dick...

Aww,and here I thought we were friends.

Youre providing absolutely NO evidence to your argument. You just mentioned a song GnR plays live (which Axl acquired the rights to do YEARS AGO and doesnt have to pay every time he goes on to play it). If you actually believe what youre saying to be fact, then I apologize because you are either uneducated on the matter or you are misinformed, either way - YOU need to do your research on the subject before making these nonsense claims. I see it every fuckin day out of you.

Holy fuckin hell, you are dense,Son. Tiny fucking BARS get sued by ASCAP/BMI when cover bands play songs that the bars don't have the rights for. You are on dope,if you think that artists aren't going to be paid when their songs are played live nightly for 20,000 people. It doesn't matter what the lawsuits were because Slash,Duff and Izzy didn't sign over their rights to songs that they wrote.

Why exactly would a bar be sued for a certain group of individuals' choice to play a certain song exactly?

Right after that claim, you make ANOTHER unfounded claim about ex-GnR business. You sure are smooth sir, no one can see through your agenda, youre slicker than ice.

So basically, two smaller music venues in the Twin Cities are now banning bands from doing cover songs...I guess they have been warned by ASCAP that unless they pay the $3000 a year fee (which these particular places can't afford) that no band can do covers there or they will get fined.

I guess ASCAP says they have spies that go out to venues and check for violations.

Then, some friends of mine who are on tour (who actually do a fair amount of covers as part of their set), have been told by TWO places in other cities in the midwest have warned them not to play cover

    See post below mine...

(But this isnt the topic in which I called you into question on... it was pertaining to Guns N Roses, not some random garage band playing a bar)
