Friend just called me from an airport in Cleveland, him and I have a bet on if Chinese Democracy will come out before May 1st or not. Apparently he has the new Spin magazine and Chuck Klosterman reviewed the album. He specifically mentioned song titles that were not ones that were played live or leaked, one song was entitled "Sunday Morning Strip Bar" or something like that and another was "Cowboy Song". It also mentioned Rhiad, CITR and Silkworms. There were specific references to the liner notes which credited Zakk Wylde as a guitarist on a few songs. Sorry I cant post a link Im stuck at work but if anyone has seen the new Spin or lives near a place that sells magazines go get it. If Im wrong I apologize.

My friend bet me 5 Irish Car Bombs (the drink with Guinness and whiskey, sorry if it offends anyone from Ireland) that Chinese Democracy will be released by May 1st. I think Im in the money to win, even though I would gladly lose this bet just to see the damn album in stores. As time passes on the more worried I get about it never being released.

hey Im an American and Im lookin to go to the Download Festival. I went to Woodstock 99 so Im not completely foreign to the festival atmosphere. Basically Im asking if anyone here who has been or knows someone whos been or knows anything about the Download festival can basically give me a summary. Sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere but I dont think it has. I was just wondering if its basically big camping areas and then vendors and stuff in a rural atmosphere, and if not, whats it set up like? Also when I was looking at ticket info it said you could buy just the weekend tickets but the next package up says tickets + camping + parking. So if you buy the first package, are you not allowed to camp? And how far is the festival from London? I have some friends who will be in London and I could meet them there and Im guessing we could take a train from London to the show. Sorry if these questions sound a little ignorant but its been harder than I thought finding out this information, plus I figured it would be better to hear it from some real people than just a general website. not to sound like an ass, but whoever started this thread, you should probably get all your facts straight before you post something like that. We GNR fans are worse than Buffalo Bills, Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox (pre 2004) fans combined.
