Age. Time is undefeated. Axl painted himself into a corner in his youth singing the way he did.

I know this is meant for fun but 'no single' is the correct answer. I mean that in the most non-trolling way possible.

(1) CD Line-up with Finck & Bucket could've been special in it's own right.
(2) Once Finck left that was the end of the drive & creativity and it became a cash grab.

After listening for a while now I'll say other than the fact it was cool to hear shit we wasn't meant to hear, and the fact that a few of them were okay overall, I can see why they didn't make final cut.
Some were okay but nothing was worth losing sleep over.

It's not the bands fault most of us know the setlist top to bottom and everything in between. They did say they don't play for the internet and he's made a believer out of me on that subject.
Pretend you haven't watched as many YouTube concerts you could and just seen it for the 1st time. You'd be blown away by the setlist

Not to be judged wrong, the dude can still go and plays at a high level, but it's just different now. He's trying to play like a 'virtuoso' blues guitarist which by default takes some of the shine of his style away.

Totally subjective & this is a guns forum so.....
Motley had some good hits but they still lacked something that kept them from being a Tier 1 type band. Motley Crue is like a high Tier 2 imo.

It really is a great record. The only one's who won't go along with that thinking are the one's who never could get over the original members not being in the band.

This was fun for a while but now it's become a situation of not knowing when to call it a day.
Axl gets all the heavy blame, & rightfully so because he's the centerpiece, but damn if Slash doesn't fuck up quite a bit himself. He's shredding harder than ever but he's lost a bit of his touch & charm like he's got Yngwie Malmsteen Disease and can't slow it down anymore.

Each era had a couple it's bright spots for sure. I remember getting those first images/videos from the 1st RIR performance with new band. 06 was fucking cool to me cause we were finally getting good high quality videos for the first time.
2010- It was getting stale to me at this point. It was clear that nothing new was going to happen and I lost interest for a while even though Axl was having good performances.
2006 would get my vote.

Axl's rant in GITR is cheesy and too white for me. It makes me cringe.
This would've been more fun if you would've eliminated some of the obvious choices (My World, Shotgun Blues, etc etc) that don't even need to be discussed and made us pick from better material.
Having said that, I thought 2 versions of 1 song in Don't Cry was kinda stupid.

And all the happiness is about to turn to anger & frustration for those who think Axl was going to 'please the internet'.

It's honestly amazing how stupid some of you are regarding Frank's playing, but yet are totally convinced you're correct. It never once crosses your minds that Axl comes in too early sometimes or Slash gets slightly off tempo sometimes (which he does).

Some of these experts around here need to learn the art of 'listening to enjoy' again rather than listening to give your negative opinion.

Franks haters are going to have to eat dicks after tonight. He's solidifying himself with this show.

If a new record were coming out that information would have leaked from national & social media by now. We knew everything about everything with Chinese Democracy 20 years before it came out so there's no possible way that some local radio station in LA has such crucial information that everyone else doesn't.

Best tour since the Illusions is more appropriate.

I remember the timing of this song leaking was not too far from when the album was finally getting released so it didn't get near the attention that others had.
I feel this was the one song that Axl pulled off what he was trying to do the rest of the album. He finally made all the tinkering & instruments come together nicely. That outro is pretty sweet & simple.

I'm only wondering out loud but there have been times that I've wondered if there wasn't some fill-in work done by the Robin Finck/Tobias Era. There's some suspicious guitar parts especially in "ISO'' that aren't Slash trademark moves & the outro riff is played close to, but not like they've always done it with the classic lineup.
It's not that far fetched because that whole record is a lie anyways. Vocal overdubs, mixing performances with other performances, AND not to mention that it was not too far off from when I heard the new band's version of SCOM for Big Daddy.

It's cool as hell to hear old demo's.. Don't know about them being 'better' but it's neat for sure.
-
I stand with it like this..... Great moment and excitement a year ago, got to see a show in Nashville, now it's all died down and the reality of what it is sunk in toward the latter part of the Summer.... It's a business now and it's all about making that retirement nice and fat.
There's not a creative desire/drive to take over the world, nor could they. I'm not mad because that's what most sensible fans have known for years anyway.

Cool song and cool to know I guess but I'm really nervous that this is going to turn in to nothing but fans claiming this is their best song ever.

Again, if you're bored with nothing going on and want to laugh at me making a fool outta myself, stop by and stay a while.
And to the Pawpaw that can't handle guitar feedback, maybe you watch re-runs of Andy Griffith
