It just goes to show that this was never intended to be a full "reunion".  Fortus would never have been asked to step aside for Izzy or Frank for Steven.  Adler can play Illusion and CD shit just as well.  I'm upset Axl went this direction instead of just closing the "Chinese" era down...

I think there could be a legal threat for sure.  I also think the chance of him ever rejoining them is done.  Adler even said he accepted "peanuts" to rejoin the tour.  Something Izzy (with good reason) was unwilling to do.  What was the original plan?  What did Axl/Slash and Duff talk about those first few meetings?  I would love to know.  Was the plan a full AFD lineup?  What about Fortus and Frank?  Were they called in when Izzy didn't show and Adler hurt himself?  Duff said in an interview that they were waiting for Izzy to show and he just never did.  I understand the show (and money) must go on but how close were we to full AFD?  We all know Adler can play anything from the bands catalogue.  It's mostly AFD and covers anyway.  I'm very salty because this "rebirth" has totally missed its mark for me and could have been so much better.  My hope was full AFD for a 1-2 year tour then go make an album or EP, tour again and then call it a day...

Thanks for your reply Brando and putting it into perspective.  Just wish these guys would get real with their fans.  This band is very far from reality most of the time.  Your best interviews are with Dougie Goldstein.  He may be a bit flakey but he's real.  Also Niven was good as well or was that with Lafon?  Can't remember.  

I want to express some constructive criticism regarding this Podcast.  He has had a dream list of guests over the past little while.  You just aren't asking these guys any "real" questions.  Maybe it was the wrong time to have Matt in because he probably dishes some dirt in his book.  Here are a couple of questions that would have been great to hear: 

1) When did your relationship turn  sour with Axl?

2) What was the prep for UYI in terms of learning the songs?  Were all the songs ready to go with Steven on the demos or did you contribute musically to new songs that came up during the sessions?

3) We know that you were with The Cult when you were approached about the Guns gig but what made you want to go audition for the gig?  Had you hard anything about the band that made you think twice about joining etc?

Same thing with Gilby.  You're too much of a nice guy.  I know there is a balance.  Please don't get upset with my critique.  You are representing me as a fan of the group and in the future when you get these opportunities you can get a little more in depth.

Also for Frank there is a shitload of great questions you can ask him.  How about what the deal was going into the reunion.  Steven said he was rehearsing all of Appetite.  Were you called in at the last minute etc?

It looks like they sold like 500 tix total to the Toronto show.  The whole seat map is blue.  I wonder if they will cancel the show?  By the way Toronto will see anything...

I’m a huge Howard fan and have never heard of this...not to say it’s not true. Maybe it makes sense because Axl has never been in the studio to be interviewed by Howard.  Maybe he will show up in studio tomorrow.

Same set list for 2 years in the exact same order...

In true Guns fashion you know nothing will happen tonight.  In fact it's probably a 90 min greatest hits show.  Hope I'm wrong but look who we are dealing with...

This reunion or whatever you want to call it has been mishandled from the get go. They should have done what the Crüe did with a press conference, followed through with Kimmel and follow ups to the teasers. It feels empty instead of mysterious.

There definitely is something up. I have a very good feeling based on what' I've seen that it will be the AFD 5. The shows will pull mainly from AFD and lies material. Adler can play the UYI staples no problem obviously civil war included. Why can't Adler handle 25-30 shows?

Ya for sure! To muzzle Steven is no small feat. I think this whole Frank and Robin think is a smoke screen.

Seriously there should be an amber alert for this guy? His silence is the strangest thing in all of this. What in the world is going on with him? Could he be in rehab to get ready for a tour? Not saying he isn't sober but maybe they took him away to try to cope with a tour etc.
