The song is called "Just Another Sunday" and it's an old demo from the UYI days. See here for more info. Thanks

I see. What is unwanted Illusions? I think its a pretty catchy song. Sounds like a cover though.

I found this GNR song on the net. Anyone heard it? I have no clue when it was recorded. It sounds like a demo. Possibly a CD outtake? Im not even sure this is the title of the thing, the lyrics have "just another sunday" as the chorus.

Axl needs to ditch the braids, cut his hair shorter (like the '99 mugshot), wear some nice jeans, a decent shirt and some boots. It would look fine. He doesn't need to "prove" anything.
-
Actually at the time, I really thought it was This I love. Unfortunately afterwards I realized it was just mistitled for some reason. I apoligize for not getting back to you.
-
lay off, jerk. What I had was actually 'Locomotive.' It was titled 'This I Love' for some reason unknown to me.
-
A tour of the Original lineup (Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, drummer) would sell huge in the US.
-
It's a gamble buying tix for something like this. There's probably a 50% chance Axl will show up at this thing.

Meh. This doesn't feel like 'GNR' to me. There's only one member from the original band. It has more of an Axl Rose solo feel.
you know what it is to me that makes it not feel like Gn'R?
you watch all the old band videos, and it is mostly dark colors on a dark stage.. everything looked dirty and bad-ass...
you watch the new band in action... and there are bright colors everywhere on a polished, shiny stage. Buckethead's raincoat... his bucket... Tommy wearing some ridiculous get-up... the whole stage being bright, flashy lights and things... Axl's large clothing... it's the brightness that gets me...
So it's more of a visual setback than an audible one, though there definitely is a huge difference there, too.
Good post. The visual feel is lacking obviously with no Slash (his hair) and Duff et al. We see a bunch of goth session musicians who I've never heard of. With a glossy stage and a braided Axl wearing huge hockey jerseys. It's odd. Musically, Axl's voice isn't as solid, and he refuses to sing Knockin On Heaven's Door the proper way (hey, hey, hey-hey yeah). He also is bitter and pissed off at his former bandmates. It's sad times for me. The fact that he insists on using the GNR name is pretty smarmy (it smacks of vengeance--as if he wants to prove to Slash and Izzy that he can do it better on his own-but still call it GNR). Fucked up.

Plant and Page were eventually able to reconcile.
Just a little patience....

Some of you folks amaze me. Axl has put up with so much from Slash and Duff? Who's the one who threatened to leave the band if Slash, Duff and Izzy didn't sign over the rights of the songs and name to him? I mean, WTF is that? Talk about a primadonna.
-
duff is that you ?
Nah Im sober.
Hey I didnt just say that
Seriously though Slash and Duff and Izzy were a massive part of the songs we all loved. They are all cool guys who have legit beefs with Axl.
Bugger off and quit spinning shit about them.
As for the person who has the quote of Slash saying I didnt wanna work that hard. Do you honestly think Slash didnt put a massive amount of hard work and time into AFD ot the Illusion albums???? Perhaps he just didnt wanna rewrite the same song 100,000 times over a 10 yr period. Maybe he wanted to have some fun and play the songs rather than navel gaze into his old age.
or maybe duff you have no idea, your going on like you have the cold hard facts?.
"you're"

isn't a Slash and Axl reunion exactly what 99.9% of all GNR fans want anyways?
umm no. a lot do, but theres also a lot who don't.
I'm willing to bet that if you take a poll with the public (casual fans, diehard fans, hard rock fans) that those percentages are about right.
Agreed. The average joe sees Axl Rose as a washed up douche bag who broke up one of the best bands of the last 20 years.
-
He's been kicked out of the band.
-
I'm still hoping this is some sort of sick joke.
-
A US tour needs Slash.
just like you need a pair of testicles
Charming. You want to sell out arenas? Get the original band back together. It's all I'm saying.
-
A US tour needs Slash.

Back in 1993-94, you couldn't have convinced me that GnR would be at this state...Slash and Axl publicly humiliating each other....they were like brothers.....
It is sad. For true Guns fans, these are depressing times.
-
Kind of shitty for Axl to publish private stuff between Slash and him. I don't ever see this getting resolved. Depressing...
-
Well, this kills any chance of Slash and Axl reuniting this summer! fuck why can't these guys just bury the hatchet!!! It's like Mick Jagger and Keith Richards not speaking to each other.
-
well, I guess this kills my dream of Slash reuniting with Axl this summer! Fuck
-
Axl is in Europe.
-
Anyone have audio of that Dallas rant? That seemed to be right before the band broke up.
