  1. I don't get why everyone thinks she's good? She's in the same category as people like Rihanna, Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera.

No, not at all dude! The music of the "artists" you just mentioned is just stale and artificial, it's pop crap. Amys music's got soul!

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant. I mean, it sure as hell wouldn't call her music Death Metal or anything. It's pop crap. I have to admit, I haven't heard many of her songs, but what I heard didn't impress me. I'd prefer Christina Aguilera's "Fighterr" over her any day. rock3

  2. Anyone knows if there is any special edition of angel down?tk.

I don't think so. They should've put out a special edition w/ a dvd of one of the shows he opened for GnR. Baz said a majority of those shows were filmed.

They could and should release Back In The Saddle as a single, followed by By Your Side as the follow up single.

No, they shouldn't. Back In The Saddle is not a good song. But the only song that would have a chance to become a hit is one of the ballads.

  3. He couldn't sing for shit! He was weak and left his wife and kid! He couldn't play guitar either. As for a matter of fact, he couldn't even tune a guitar! The fucking white trash...

Mick Jagger can't sing and Keith Richards can't play guitar, but still they are loved all over the message board. The whole Kurt Cobain hatred is only because of the fact he had differences with Axl Rose. I don't like everything Nirvana did, bt their Unplugged album is very good.

  4. I always felt this song was too slow compared to their awesome version live at Rock In Rio III. So I sped it up a bit. I also didn't like the very Maiden like middle part. It was way too long, so I cut it down a bit.

This is what I call the perfect Sign Of The Cross. B)

That's the original (without choir intro, due to youtube's 10 min restriction)

  5. I remember the thread your referencing Sly, but for the life of me I forget the name of the band. I believe it was moreblack who posted it, maybe he can help.

I don't think it was, or at least I don't remember...

So what were the bands that did epic length songs with multiple instruments well?

I'm trying to think who fits the bill

    maybe Dream Theatre?

Yeah, i'd say Dream Theater is a heavier version of Rush.

  6. Any fans from Smphony X here?

Saw them as opener for Dream Theater. They rocked, though I liked Dream Theater better. But on the other hand, I like their new album better then the one from Dream Theater. :P

Just listened to it again, and it's got really some fuckin' ace songs.

    From their new album:

Paradise Lost (maybe their best song):

Serpent's Kiss (one of their heavier songs):

  7. Good album, but two complaints:

    1) Some of the songs sound too similar, I find the songs get better as the album progresses and more importantly...

    2) Baz needs to stop fucking SCREAMING! The songs where he actually sings, like By Your Side, Stuck Inside, Falling Into You are far better than the songs where all he does is scream like an idiot, and you can't understand what he's saying. Sebastian, you were blessed with a gift, use it.

Other than that, the good outweighs the bad, and who knows how long it's going to be until we hear Axl on studio recorded again... Overall, 8/10.

Totally agree. The second half of the album is better. And I like him screaming in some parts. But sometimes it's annoying.

    I would give it a 7/10, I guess.

  8. AMOLAD = Iron Maidens most overrated album ever? Maybe...

The Numver Of The Beast = Iron Maiden's most overrated album

AMOLAD ist just kick-ass. Love that album.

Well I wouldn't say NOTB is the most overrated, but AMOLAD sure isn't. Best album since Piece Of Mind IMO. The most overrated Maiden album is Virtual XI. Other than The Clansman, that album desrves no credit. :vomit:

Okay, I didn't include the non-Bruce albums, because I only own the 10 albums with Bruce. But I jsut down't really like their frist 3 Bfruce albums. Their nothing compared to their newer stuff.

  10. 99.9% of my music is purchased.

That 0.1% is bootlegs, I hate downloading albums, what is the point?

What's the point of downloading albums? It's free.

Its something I cant explain really.

I just hate illeagally downloading music.

Doesn't anyone agree with me or know what I mean?

I know exactly what you mean. If I have a song on a burned CD, I just don't enjoy it as much as I do if I would have bought. It just doesn't feel right for me, if I listen to a downloaded or burnt CD. There's no connection between me and the CD. If I buy one, thne it's like me owning a piece of history. And the feeling that you get walking through a CD story, picking up a CD and going home and listening to it, is alone worth the price of the Cd, I think. And if I don't have money, well then I wait until I have money and when i finally can afford the CD, then it's even cooler to listen to the songs

  11. 1 Guns N' Roses 2.231

  12. I know, it's maybe not the right topic, but anyway. Just got my copy of Angel Down. I thought it was pretty good, not amazing, though. Some songs are kick-ass, some songs aren't, but all in all I like the album. Especially the slow songs and the songs with Axl are cool, well except for Bach In The Saddle. But I'd recommend the album.

  13. Yeah, i went to like 7 stores in Zurich, two of them told me it will come out on Nov. 30th here one said it's out Nov.21 and he hasn't it, yet. I just ordered it at the biggest CD onlie store in Switzerland. They allready have it, but seems that the release is on Nov. 30 here in Switzerland.

  14. Number of The Beast - for Hallowed Be Thy Name.

Yeah, but except for that song and Children Of The Damned NOTB is more or less crap. Many, many fillers.

Well, maybe not crap, but it's got really alot of fillers. :P

No way, the only filler IMO is Invaders, which is actually good for filler. Some would argue Gangland is filler, but I fucking love that song! The rest of tha album is absolutely classic though. Theres the "hits"; NOTB, Run To The Hils, Hallowed and COTD, but 22 Acacia Ave. and The Prisoner are the true gems. I would honestly rank The Prisoner in my top 10 favorite songs of all time. Shame they haven't played it live since '88 <_<

The fillers are Invaders, Gangland and Prisoner. They are just bad.

Run To The Hills is quite good and Number Of The Beast is okay, but it's nothing special. But Prisoner is one of the worst songs they ever did.

What don't you like about The Prisoner? It's got a good, driving riff, good lyrics and a great sing along chorus. I'm assuming you don't like Back In The Village either then? :tongue2:

Nope I don't like Back in the village, either. Powerslave really got a lot of fillers, too. Just listened to The Prisoner, it was better than I had it in mind, but The Prisoner is like "Can I play with Madness", it's such a cheesy chorus. The verse is okay, but the chorus is just cheesy. I think their first 3 Bruce Dickinson albums really have a lot of filler songs.
