Dear Santa,
I would like Axl to shave that awful mustache and then release new music and go on tour.

Dec 4, 2011 Nashville TN. The moment Welcome To The Jungle intro started. I had been waiting since 1987 to hear that live. Greatest moment of my life ( even though my kids would be upset to know that lol)

Someone should kidnap Axl and Slash and lock them in the same room till they made up
Wouldn't happen. What you'd get is a real life version of that MTV celebrity death match.
But after they beat the shit out of eachother and get it of their chest, maybe a conversation is possible. Just keep them locked up for a couple of days.
Who would win the death match?
Slash won, he made a "paper doll chain" out of axl

I am not much of a Beatles fan either

I wouldn't give a new song to a crowd that booed me then threw shit on stage, would save it for next show

In an interview with VH1 Radio Network , drummer Matt Sorum revealed to be working on a screenplay for a film that would tell the story of Guns N 'Roses . "I am in conversations with influential people. I just need to know how to work on the issue of music, which would need the rights to use. I think the Rock films were never made properly. The only ones I thought were decent Doors and Johnny Cash. Others, like Rock Star, Mark Wahlberg, are stupid " . Source: The Van Halen

I haven't read through the many many pages of this post and all the other posts bashing Axl for his decision. That being said...all the bashers are are just upset because their dreams of even a one show reunion was crushed. I admit at one time I was one of those that hoped for a reunion but then I got to thinking. What made the Appetite era line-up so great was their chemistry and brotherhood. That is long long gone now. I feel as even a one song thing would be a very big disappointment.
I love Axl and the current line-up and I love Slash and what he is doing now. What I think would have been cool to see last night is ALL of the inducted members get up and play WITH the current line-up. But of course that didn't happen..THEIR CHOICE..NOT OURS. They don't owe us anything. If anything we as fans owe THEM for the many years of music they have given us and many great memories.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered already, but for anyone who was there, did Civil War have the Cool Hand Luke intro?
Yes it did
Surely, the crowd must have gone mental when they played it?
I couldnt tell you, I was screaming to loud to notice lol. Kidding, they did go nuts...thought I was gonna get crushed against the rail for a minute

I've watched that video of Civil War about 10 times already. Jesus, that's fucking awesome. Can't wait until a full video with the intro gets posted.
My only question is: why now? I know we won't find out, but very interesting that Axl waited until now to break out Civil War, and also if he felt there was any significance doing it in Nashville?
I don't know if there's any significance, but my own personal conspiracy theory is that maybe they did it because they haven't played in Nashville since 1988 and felt we deserved it for the long wait and/or also because they stiffed Nashville on the '06-'07 tour when they cancelled the 10/22/06 date and never rescheduled. Even if it has nothing to do with either of those things, Nashville (being Music City and all) has had the good fortune on more than one occasion of special things happening during shows. Last time Metallica was here in 2009, they brought Lemmy on stage as a surprise during the encores and played a couple of Motorhead songs with him.
I hold no hard feelings for the last cancellation and can honestly say now it was worth the wait. Unbelievable.
I was there for the Metallica concert as well. That was a great experience as well
